“Very bad hotel without maintenance”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

The staff at the hotel is nice and helpful which helps in staying in this hotel but all the rest is just below possible understanding. For the price paid you would expect at least some level of quality while not here.

There is not one good thing that I can say about this hotel ! It was terrible in every aspect. The rooms were plain, badly furnished and ill-equipped. The restaurant and breakfast were appalling - the food was definitely not of an acceptable standard. The waitresses walked around pushing huge trolleys ( like in a school canteen ) and were not at all friendly. They did not do evening meals and there are no restaurants within walking distance, which means that someone has to drive to get a decent meal. There was a party of students staying whilst we were there ( no problems with them ! ) - but I would say this hotel is only just about adequate for school trips. Not for the discerning traveller !!

Good location of hotel, near Vedurela beach so you can rest for sure. Center of Pula is about 5 minutes by car and 25 by foot. Hotel is renovated, it has friendly staff, but they are a bit slow, so it can take a whille during breakfast to clean up the table.
Food is poor for a 3 star hotel, and needs an improvement in quality, creativity, with more fruit and vegetables during dinner. Rooms are nice, very clean, with air-conditioning which is the best value of this hotel. Balcony is a bit old and needs to be painted, tv is old and bathroom is spaceous, but also needs a hint of new colour.
Swimming pool is ok, a bit small with lack of music and animation.

Overall, if you get some lastminute discount, it's avarage hotel, (to expensive in full price for this value) with clean rooms and friendly staff as it's greatest advantages. beaces are close, (with not so clean sea) Pula center is located near hotel, but overall it should be rated with 2 stars instead of 3.

The hotel is OK in general, clean rooms, nice restaurant but I expected more for the price. The hotel ( and to be honest all hotels in Croatia ) are extremely overrated! For the price of a 3 star hotel in Croatia you get a 5 star hotel elsewhere in Eastern Europe. We had to pay for the wi-fi and to the gym! Breakfast should be better and they lack of staff. The location is not the best either, it is quite far from the downtown. The main positive thing is the pool in the backyard.

I would have given this hotel a one (1), but the beach that is just down the hill from the hotel is beautiful and worth exploring. No sand, just large rock. Was there for a volleyball tournament at an adjacent sports complex so we weren't concerned about local restaurants or things to do. The walk to the city center and arena, while doable, is not advisable since it is not a straight shot, perhaps 30-35 minutes.

I have to agree with previous reviews, old style, dated, communist style hotel with unhappy hotel workers, but that could have just been the fact that there were hundreds of volleyball players from USA and Europe occupying the hotel and running around nightly.

If I were go go back for family vacation, I would not stay here, but would try to come back to the beach for sure.

Stayed here at this hotel which seems it be from the Former Yugoslavis era. And that it is not in it's positive sense. Vast dining room and lounges, but no guests...
The room was tiny, but tidy.
There where no descent restaurants nearby and I am confused an upset that you should have to pay for Wi-Fi access 2013.

The reception staff needs a service course and needs to be taught how to smile to the customer.

I have been traveling for 3 months in Italy, Greece and eastern Europe.and this was by far the worst hotel. I stayed at much nicer hotels for less. Unfortunately they seem to have the mid range niche in Pula this time of the year, which is why I stayed there. Small room, hard beds, snowy (non flat screen)TV with no English (picky, picky). We had to call down to replace the bulb for the main light in the bedroom. The front desk staff were hard pressed to appear glad that we chose to stay there. The housekeeping staff barely gave us a second before they opened the door before 9am in the morning on check out day. At least there was plenty of hotwater for our morning showers. Please think twice about staying at this hotel unless you want to spend good money for a lousy experience.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor, otherwise you WILL NOT GET A VIEW OF THE SEA
