“Exellent stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

We were here during low season. Evertything but the food was EXCELLENT. Not that the food was bad, it just did not meet the standard of the rest of the hotel. But the serviece, the room and the ambiance we all impeccable!

We had a big room with a big balcony looking at the sea. Bathroom was also big and clean. Food (dinner and breakfast) was really nice with great variety.
However it was a noisy hotel mostly due to its size. Staff was really kind and friendly.
Its location was nice. 10 minutes drive to the city centre and close to the sea.
Unfortunatelly I didn't have time to visit the spa.
I can say we really enjoyed it.

Just back from four nights here and enjoyed every moment.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room big, comfortable with balcony overlooking the sea.
Hotel seems fairly new, very modern and deserves its five star rating.
Breakfast buffet contained very well presented food of every description.
About 15 minutes from the Old City by bus which stops 70 metres from the hotel. Tickets can be bought from the hotel reception which is cheaper than buying on the bus.
Would highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a sea view.

We found choosing a hotel quite difficult in Dubrovnik reading the reviews, concerning whether to stay in the old city or opt for a bit further out, with a bit more comfort and some once sea views. So glad we chose this one ! It proved the best of both worlds - we knew in advance this wasn't a beach holiday and we were out of season, but far from the maddening crowds and the extreme heat of summer, this place was great . On arrival, reception staff were warm, attentive, and we were appointed a fabulous room with a huge balcony and sea views. Babin Kuk is a little way fro the old town, but is so easily accessed by frequent bus that we did not feel it was a problem, and in fact, it was lovely to come back to a comfortable hotel. There is a lovely coastal walk which, on a nice day, takes you to Gruz port one way, and into Lapad the other. Work is being done on the paths just now, but should be complete by summer. The housekeeping standards here are excellent - the rooms are immaculate, and in the hotel itself there is nice terraces and decked areas which I would imagine in summer, are great to watch the sea and relax. Nice lobby bar, and all the staff are helpful. As we were off season slightly, the room rates I felt were excellent value for money. Eating in the Zoe restaurant one evening was outstanding, which I have detailed in a separate restaurant review. There have been many variations on the breakfast reviews, and , yes, there are inconsitincies on a daily basis that could be addressed ( some days offered eggs, some days not! Some days offered 2nd coffee, some days not ! ) but, on the whole, there was always something nice to eat . Would we return here? Yes, it's a perfect base and an excellent introduction to Croatia and all it has to offer .

This was one of my most pleasant stays on Adriatic coast. The hotel is new and everything says - this is a five star hotel. The rooms are great, you can't beat the view on the see, the food was above average, all the stuff was very helpful and cheerful. I enjoyed my stay there. This was a business trip, the conference room was OK as well, Internet works fine. Really nothing to complain at.

Room Tip: I was in the room 1224. Great view on the sea.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The best service ever.
Perfect location. Near to the bus to Dubrovnik old city.
The room was cleaned every day and the maids were very kind.
The gym and the pool was nice, always clean towels and the staff was helpful.
We had a great time in Dubrovnik with family.

Room Tip: We got rooms with sea view and every morning started with enjoying the view from the balcony. It was...
