Stayed in Sipa apartment D during May. Had a really wonderful stay and can highly recommend Sipa apartment to anyone travelling to Dubrovnik that wishes to have the best view of the old town.
To get to the apartment from the airport, one option is to take the Atlas coach, which is outside the terminal and costs 35 Kunas (paid on the bus) per person. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes and you should get off at the first stop which is the west entrance of the old town (Pile Gate) - opposite Hilton Hotel. From here, you have three options 1) Take a taxi to Sipa apartment which costs about 70-80 Kunas 1) Take either bus number 5 or 8 from the bus station opposite Hilton but the bus routes for both will take you all the way around the city. The bus fare for single costs 8 Kunas per person. Option 3) - WALK through old town, through Ploce Gate, then keep walking until you pass Hotel Excelsior, you will come across a zebra crossing and on the left, you should see the steps leading up called Zupska. Walk up about 100 steps and turn right once on the road. Walk for further 200 metres, and Sipa is on your right. The whole journey should take about 40 minutes. Please only take this option if you are fairly fit with small luggages, otherwise it's better to take a taxi.
Once arrived, we were given the key to the apartment, and the owner took time to show us around. The apartment itself is like in the pictures on their website - clean, spacious, with really stunning view of the old town. It consistes of a kitchen, a shower with toilet, and a bedroom. You also get one parking space. The apartment comes fully equipped with everything you really need i.e. sofa bed, microwave, stove, fridge with freezer, washing machine, plenty of sockets, iron and ironing board, cutleries, flat screen TV (19"?), and even a beach umbrella! The balcony is accessible through the living room or the bedroom, and has a table and a few chairs. The bed is comfortable. The only things I didn't like were that the wifi internet was available only in certain areas of the apartment with very low signal, and there was no shampoo provided...
Walking to old town and back can be quite challenging but definitely manageable by most. There is a shop about 200 metres to the left of the apartment and it has all the basic things you need.
One little note, on your way to the airport, if you plan to travel by coach, the coach (not Atlas.. not sure what it was called, sorry!) will stop at a bus stop near Ploce Gate on the Petra Kresimira 4 road. We didn't know this and took a long way by walking through old town, through Pile Gate, and took a bus to the main bus station (20 mins ride!), only to realise later that we could have spent that 45 minutes enjoying Dubrovnik a little more! Make sure you check the bus timetable carefully at a tourirst info.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Sipa apartment to anyone travelling to Dubrovnik and would definitely stay there again if possible!
