“super little hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

A nice clean friendly hotel in a lovely location, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the two main meals we ate there were excellent. and the position absolutely perfect. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

We stayed for four nights just this October. We picked it because of all of the positive reviews. Not sure I can add anything new, but I just want to give my endorsement also. The price is reasonable and the hotel is very clean. I don't think the staff could be any better. They're friendly, helpful, and very professional. We were helped getting our luggage to the hotel by the day manager; several were great at answering questions and giving advice; we were offered the use of the computer to print boarding passes; we had some laundry done and it came back very clean and nicely folded; and we were provided a lunch when we had an early flight out.

The breakfast featured coffee we were use to in the states, and we could get an omelet with the other good food. We had intended to eat away from the hotel every evening, but we ended up eating there twice because the food and service were so good.

We really liked the area. It is touristy, but a lot of the local populace enjoys the restaurants, the beach, and the tennis courts. It feels like a real neighborhood with many families bringing their children to the playground and little carnival. Yet, in the evenings it was very peaceful and quiet.

We had a car rental and the hotel has space in a garage maybe less than 200 meters away. The beach is a short walk and the bus stop to Old Town is only a little bit further away in the opposite direction.

Bus 6 to Old Town was crowded every time we used it, but that's to be expected in Dubrovnik. If you arrive by car, I suspect you might have the same problem finding the hotel that we did. It's not on any street; rather it sits with several other hotels on a wide pedestrian walkway that ends at the beach.

All in all, about as an enjoyable a stay at a hotel that we've ever had.

Room Tip: There are four floors. but the elevator only goes to the third floor. However, we were also high en...

This is a small, friendly hotel with delightful, helpful staff in a lovely pedestrian only location. The absence of traffic noise and comfy beds give you a good night's sleep. It was unseasonably hot when we were there, so we were very grateful for air-conditioning which worked efficiently. We stayed on a half board basis and it was excellent value: the table d'hote menu was simple and somewhat restricted but the food was very well-cooked using good quality ingredients and most enjoyable and, on some nights, there were "specials" on offer as well. Breakfasts were ample - the omelettes excellent. It was a two minute stroll to the beach and, if you carry straight on down the road from the hotel, there is a beautiful path walk round the promontory (ideal for an after dinner stroll) - with lovely rocks below which you can access by sets of steps if you want some privacy to sunbathe or swim somewhere other than the beach. We would very happily go back there again.

We stayed at Hotel Perla for 4 nights and what a lovely stay it was. The location is great - the pedestianised street is full of restaurants and bars and handy little shops. At one end is the small but lovely beach and at the other the bus stop into the old town - both only 2 minutes from the front door of the hotel.
The hotel staff were brilliant - always friendly, saying good morning and asking how you were. Very helpful on arrival and with any quetions we had. The rooms were a good size, with everything you needed - and the shower was superb - powerful and with good temperature control (may seem odd to comment on a shower - but if you're going somewhere for more than a couple of nights you soon rue a bad one!)
We ate in the hotel one night and the food was lovely and the service, as ever, was great. The breakfasts were also good - a basic selection but always replenished and plenty of fresh fruit.

All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Dubrovnik. If I was to return I would certainly contact this hotel first. And do visit Dubrivnik it's a great place, with simply delicious food and lovely people.

Found this hotel after good reviews on Tripadvisor and was not disapointed, in a great location 10 min bus ride from the wall but only a 1 minute walk along a pedestranised walkway from the beach. Hotel was in a very good condition and was staffed by very helpful reception and waiting staff, breakfast was very good and ate in the restaurant one evening and had a wonderful meal. Very close to an abundance of eateries. Girls on reception went out of way to make our stay special and even coached me with my basic Croatian phrases, so overall a great little hotel to visit.

We enjoyed our stay here greatly. Over a period as we came and went we stayed in three rooms - all were good and spotlessly clean. Our room at the front on the 4th floor was very spacious although the lift only goes to the third floor which might be a downside for some. Breakfasts were good, especially the cheese omelettes! The staff were particularly helpful and pleasant. The hotel is in a pleasant holiday area near to Lapad Beach, where you can safely swim. We liked being able to visit the old city for half a day and sit on the beach for the rest of the day.

We only stayed for a couple of nights at the end of our Croatian holiday and found the Perla to be a lovely place to stay. The reception staff were really friendly as were the staff in the restaurant where breakfast is served. Talking of breakfast there was good selection of cold items including lots of fresh fruit and a choice of omelette if you wanted hot food. The room was a good size and very clean. The location is ideal near to the beach and restaurants and bars and it's a short bus ride into the Old Town. Just a couple of niggles our TV didn't work and when we reported it we were told it was probably some loose connections, it wasn't and it still didn't work but not really a problem as we didn't visit Dubrovnik to watch tell....and no plug in the bathroom sink (not sure if this is linked to the hotel rule of no washing clothes in the room!)
