This hotel is fine if you want to be out exploring most of the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable if a little dated (the hair-dryer was a vacuum cleaner attached to the wall, weird). The breakfast is filling but cheap and poor quality which put us off eating there for dinner or lunch. The staff were the great and location was good, as long as you don't mind getting a 10 min bus to and from the Old Town. There is no lift so bear that in mind if you have wheelchair / pushchair needs.
A few updates / improvements could make this a good hotel but as it is it is average but comfortable.

The staff was great and the room was clean. Also, the location is great (10 minutes with bus to the old town). Breakfast was fine, and there was some noise true...but come on it's Dubrovnik in the summer...

I only give it an average rating because...Our room smelled really bad...like sewers. And the bed was not very comfortable neither (old probably).

However, I am sure that if the smell hadn't been there, which might have been just on the two days we were there, I would have recommended it... So maybe worth to give it a try after all if you're in Dubrovnik.
PS: the ice cream place in front has amazing gelatos!

A lovely old style hotel, our room was large and well proportioned, little balcony on two sides just big enough to sit outside and read a book on. The food was good and we ate here on both nights mainly for the ambiance of eating in the garden. Staff were very helpful and up beat. Its a short walk down to the sea and a long walk into the old town(or a short walk to the bus).

Room Tip: No lift so keep low

Food is great - both breakfast and 2 late suppers Free wi-fi - the hotel itself is beautiful - rooms were great, the grounds are beautiful. The rooms were very clean
We would stay again for sure free parking is there and since we had a car - very important

I recently stayed 4 nights on business at the Hotel Zagreb, Lapad, Dubrovnik. It was just fabulous. The location is perfect, only a short bus/taxi ride from the old town, but away from the hustle and bustle/high prices and Lapad has everything you need. The rooms are fresh, cool and spotless. Breakfast is wonderful and the gardens peaceful and relaxing. The best thing, however, is the wonderful hotel staff who can't do enough for you....from the manager/receptionists, the singing waiter and the housekeeping staff. Thanks all. I hope to come back for pleasure one day.
