“My new favourite place!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

The Old Town in Dubrovnik is just stunning. The buzz, the buildings, the restaurants, the harbour. Just excellent. If you don't like to be in crowded places though, it's not for you at all. The City was packed to the rafters, and this is coming towards the end of the season. I cannot imagine what it's like at the height of summer! Loads of little eateries, cafes etc. Well worth visiting to pass the time and watch the buzz around you. The litle harbour is lovely, as are all the main drawns of attention like the city walls. My advise would be to go up onto the city walls as early as you can (they open from 8) as they are quiet at this time and it's just magical.

“Dancing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

The old town is interesting. We did a tour which was good if a little heavy on the war stuff. There are too many people from cruise boats and every alleyway is filled with cafes. The best was after the cruise boat people had left and we were dancing in the main square at night to the 3 piece group playing lovely non-amplified music.

“A MUST SEE!!! Definately worth the Walk on the Wall”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

The lower part of the town is covered with artist, shops, and places to eat. But, it is a must see to pay to walk the wall - the miles of azure waters of the Adriatic sea is breathtaking. There is jewelry vendor located on the wall that weaves sliver. It was unique and beautiful

“Great ice cream parlours”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Old time is good to visit once or twice, some of the restaurants are slightly overpriced but you have to expect this in a tourist hot spot. There a few shops to browse although I felt most had the same stuff to buy.
Great ice cream parlours with lots of different flavours.

“It's beautiful....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We stayed for a couple of days. It's fabulous early morning and in the evening when the cruise ships have departed.....you cannot doubt it's beauty and its great to wander the lanes and alleys and get gloriously lost.

It is however a tourist Mecca and positively uncomfortable during the day when it's heaving with folks and you can't even see the pavement.
