We are still staying at this hotel, and are really questioning all of these positive reviews.. Where to start.. We started to read reviews of this hotel 2 weeks before we arrived, we really looked forward to our trip since almost all reviews were really positive.
Well, where to start:
1. the staff
I have never in my life met staff so rude and negative. We feel that we have bothered them by staying at this hotel. Actually the only people smiling is housekeeping(!!) I have several examples:
Earlier today (and yesterday) I asked for towels, since the toweldesk is empty and they are too lazy to get new ones, I got told that I need to wait 30 (!!!) minutes for towels. However, today I was fed up with waiting and on my way to the reception I met a young man also working here. I asked him if he could PLEASE find 2 towels for me, and guess what, he went to the towel room which is only 5 metres from the toweldesk and gave me 2 towels!
Also, the first day we arrived we did not know where we could eat lunch. I asked the bar where we could eat a "quick" lunch, sandwich or something. Well, she said we needed to go to the restaurant. Day 2 we saw that there is a sandwich/burger place here as well. So why didn't she tell us that?? Now we know, we met two couples here, a British couple, and a German. They told us that they had been told exactly the same, and that it seems the hotel wants you to eat in the "twice as expencive" restaurant rather than the snackbar. Irritating..
And, at this restaurant, i asked the waitress (after she had placed a basket of bread at our table) if we could please have some butter, the response: "Ehhhm, okay if you REALLY need to".............!!
NOT of good quality, even the coca cola is outdated, all week I have been drinking Coke Zero for lunch which expired mid July 2011.. SLOW service, once again you are a burden if you decide to eat at this hotel
3. Shuttle bus
Yeah, sure it is a bus service. Thankfully we were told by a couple that we need to show up at least 20 minutes before to get seats, if not it would be full and we would need to take the local bus which takes much longer time and costs money. I guess aprx 20 people every time we took the bus had to take the local bus.. So enjoy waiting every day 20 minutes in a overheated bus.
I never thought i'd write a review here, but after this hotel experience, and trusting these reviews I felt I really had to. After talking to both the german and british couple and we all have the exact same experiences and feelings towards this hotel, it is not at allworth it! I would never come back here, the staff here ruined our vacation.
I went to the reception aprx 2 hours ago to let them know about my experiences. The receptionist just told me to fill out the complaint form in my room........ Guess I will.

I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear you feel this way about our hotel. It seems unusual to me given that we get so many good feedbacks from our guests, as you said yourself. Nevertheless, I believe you felt mistreated and not getting the value for money. Because of that and because we care about your opinion I would like to personally meet you and discuss your experience.
