Very nice room with balcony looking out over the water. Good service, nice pool and bar area.
Friendly staff and lovely location at water's edge. Great breakfast choices and nice restaurant.
Nice walk to the beach, not far. Easy bus trip to old town.

We stayed in this hotel in late October, which was still warm. The Hotel is around 20mins in taxi from airport, The room on the left side of the hotel was small but had a great view of the Harbour and large cruise ships arriving, Very good location for bus into town which stops out side and at local shops to get to to the old city, very clean with a good room service and restaurant. The bar area could have done with more seats inside at night. A few members of staff were a bit abrupt when we arrived at reception. but apart from that an enjoyable stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a superior room in the hotel and were pleased with the room. It was spacious with a huge bed, modern bathroom and robes and slippers. On the first day our hot water didn't work. When we informed the staff they immediately sent up a porter to look at it. They also offered us another room and showed us round it. However due to the fact we were at the end of the corridor, the hot water eventually came on so we stayed put.

The breakfast ran to late which suited us and had a large variety of food and drink. I specifically liked the variety of different flavoured teas. We also tried the a la carte dinner on the first night however it was slightly old fashioned for us...meat and boiled potatoes.

The pool and bar were nice to relax around. We were able to set up a tab and the staff were friendly. They had a band on a few nights which was a nice touch. We didn't get to use the pool much as the weather wasn't great.

It is in good walking distance to lapad beach and the old town can also be reached on foot, however there is a bus that takes you to the old town and back. Tickets can be bought from reception for the bus. There are a few restaurants close by too.

For the price, I think we got a good deal. It is a very quiet hotel with an older clientele. So if you want to relax it is perfect.

We stayed at Lapad in early autumn. Great staff, great rooms, great hotel!
Main tip would have to be for the busses into the main town - get a taxi!!
We would definately go back........
Crikey 200 characters required - what more can I say - our bathroom had a great shower

We stayed at the amazing Hotel Lapad in Aug 2012 with 24 of our wedding guests (from all over the UK) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stunning hotel. The rooms are small but beautifully decorated with comfy beds and clean. The suites are spacious, beds very comfy and luxurious. The food at breakfast and dinner catered for all tastes. all fresh and tasty even fussy eaters would not struggle. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile with our veggie guests by offering/making them additional dishes (not on the menu) The restuarant staff were great with the children in our party and they assisted us by allowing our large groups to sit together during dinner. The pastry chef (Anelka) is outstanding - after reading reviews on her work we contacted the hotel who arranged for Anelka to make our wedding cake (1 tier of chocolate and 2nd tier of Lime and coconut cake!) it was devine!
Kristina (at hotel lapad) was amazing - even though we did not have our wedding reception at the hotel she went out of her way to help us leading up to our stay, during and after. Her helpfulness, interest, dedication and enthusiasm can not be faulted. Hotel Lapad is situated right on the habour and is close to the main promenade with beautful bars and restaurants leading down to Lapad beach (remember to take water shoes with you as the beaches are shingle and the water can be rocky - watch out for the sea urchins)
We would recommend the 3 island cruise - £20 for the entire day including wine, beer, soft drinks and lunch.
The pool area is clean, with towels available even with such a large group we did not struggle to find sunbeds even in high season. The pool snack menu and drinks selection are very reasonable with good choice. Dubrovnik is less than 10mins drive from Hotel Lapad (approx £7 in a taxi which are easily accessible)
Dubrovnik is a fantastic city and holiday distination. If you are considering visiting Dubrovnik you must consider staying at Hotel Lapad. Hotel Lapad definitely made this a wedding/trip to remember. We will be back! Thanks again Hotel Lapad from Mr & Mrs Lismore

We arrived at the hotel before just before mid day, our room wasn't ready so we walked 5 mins up the road along the water's edge & had found a lovely place for a drink. (just past the petrol station/shop) On arriving back at the hotel we were shown to our room - the room was adequate, it seemed quite small but I think it was just because it seemed to have too much furniture in it! I banged my leg on the bed more than once!!! Also the glass door in the bathroom was very heavy & banged against the wall every time you opened it - ii wouldn't be surprised if there had been a few accidents! If you're in the bathroom & leave the door open - it's a bit of a tight squeeze - I kept banging my elbow on it whilst drying my hair! overall the hotel is very nice - the decor is lovely - quite modern, breakfast is good - would've been nice to have the option to sit outside for breakfast though. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to a couple of beaches and the bus service into town is fantastic - we never waited more than 2 mins - it's never too far away. Dubrovnik is a beautiful place - it's got something for everyone. Walking the walls is a must, the cable car is great too - you get an amazing view of the city! also, if you fancy a boat trip, go to Cavtat - it's a lovely little place - very pretty. I can't reccommend dubrovnik enough - we will be returning one day!

We stayed at the Hotel Lapad for one week in October. The hotel is right next to the harbour. The exterior looks lovely and the interior does not disappoint.
We stayed in the extension, on the 7th floor and had a side view of the water.
Breakfast and dinner are buffet style although there were staff in the restaurant to take drinks orders. The food was good. There was always a good choice of fish, chicken, meat, pork etc. at dinner.
On the Saturday night there was a wedding in the hotel so we had dinner in the annex - that was ok.
The grounds and pool are fairly small but we walked to the beach at Lapad. The water was clean and not too cold.
The hotel is on the route of the number 6 bus. There is a one way system outside the hotel so to get to the Old Town by bus you had to go round the Lapad area and change bus at the terminus.
We enjoyed watching the locals fishing outside our hotel every night - some even caught some fish.
The weather was sunny and warm 6 days out of 7 so we were happy.
We really enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.
