“Nice comfortable hotel in good position”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

Went with another couple to this hotel recently. Nice clean large rooms - no bath but tower shower. Definitely worth asking for a sea view. Food good and varied, gardens lovely with nice large pool. Well placed hotel (10 minute bus ride to the old town - if you walk to the next bus stop back from the hotel, the bus stop isn't so crowded but buses are every 10 minutes. The No. 4 bus also goes from the next road). Rooms not available until 2.00p.m. so if you're arriving early it's worth having cool clothes and swimsuit near the top of your case. Nice walks around the hotel with restaurants and shops to while away the time. It's worth buying a card for the buses and museums - about half price on admissions. Do have a ride on the cable car and a cup of coffee at the top - the views are stunning. Look for a small cake shop called "Sugar and Spice" in Ulica Sv Josipa - one of the side alleys in Dubrovnik old town - they sell the most fantastic home-made cakes and tea and you can sit on tiny stools in the alley in the breeze.

Room Tip: Choose a high, sea view room

very good hotel, food all buffet style with lots of good variations of food.
Gardens, pool area were well kept and beautiful.
Try to get a sea facing room on a high floor for beautiful views.
Good Bar along the coast walk called the Cave, a must to watch the sunset

Room Tip: ask for a sea facing room

Travelled on 13th-20th May. Fantastic service at airport, great transfer to hotel. Hotel spotless, plenty of room, would advise you take hangers as only 10 in wardrobe with hardly any drawer space but not a biggy. Leave your swimsuits on top of the case so you can enjoy the pool as soon as you arrive-had to wait 4 hours to book into room but went for a lovely walk along the coastal path and to be honest 4 hours not enough to enjoy it. Suggest swimsuits especially if you have children they would probably prefer to go for a dip rather than a walk. Toilets downstairs by reception where you can change. Food absolutely delicious. After reading other reviews not sure what to expect but go with an open mind. If you don't put all the choices on the one plate on the first day there is enough variation to last you a week without having the same thing twice. Marija in the restaurant is lovely - speak to her and she will really look after you. If you go out of hotel and turn left at the promenade then walk to the bottom and take your right through the restaurant the coastal path leads on from that. Take a towel and bottles of water you can step down into lovely isolated spots and enjoy the sea and sun. If you go right to the end of the walk you come to Zoe Beach Bar - best tuna mayo sandwich ever had but one portion is enough for two people so share sandwiches. Take a towel there too sun beds available on decking and views breathtaking. Try the Cave bar-you will see it as you walk along but if you go down to the decking area have a look around the bar it is truly awesome and great in the evening. If you turn right out of hotel on promenade and walk to crossroads turn right and you will find bus stop. Buy your tickets into Dubrovnik there and get your return ticket back they are 12 each way and a lot cheaper than a taxi. The old town is breathtaking - walk along the walls you will never tire of the views. Have a look around the hotel for free concerts we went to hear the local choir sing and it was awesome and they had a visiting choir from USA - very entertaining evening all for the price of a bus ticket. Go up the cable car and visiting the museum at the top is a must but a better idea to walk around the old city first before you actually do this trip. The people of Croatia are fantastic, very friendly and will go out of their way to look after you and help you. The area is lovely and clean yet you never see street cleaners. Not much to spend your money on with regard to shopping but if you are after a relaxing holiday with no pressure this is definitely the place to visit. Better to take Euro's and change there for local currency you get more for your moeny.Tip on the way back-We did the transfer by private taxi and the book in time hadn't come on the screen. Go to the self check in desk which was absolutely empty and we were booked in straight away and through to waiting area in matter of minutes. We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Although we were at the back of the hotel the views were still amazing so not a biggy not looking ou...

With a good ratio price / quality, this hotel is located in the Babin Kuk district, some 200m from Lapad beach.
Rooms are tiny and slightly run-down but nothing to really complain about. They all have balconies and can face the sea or the back garden and road. There's a mini-bar but no kettle or coffee/tea.
Breakfast is vast (from omelets and grilled veggies to cereal and pastry) with average quality.
Staff is not exceptional but they do what they are supposed to, no frills attached.
Taking bus number 6 on the main road, you can reach the old town in 10-15min.
There's a big suppermarket and several restaurants and bars nearby.

Room Tip: Pick a room with park view, as they have all sea view also

We were 4 ladies on a 5 night stay travelling independently. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel although we did have to move the beds about to separate them enough.
Lovely food both for breakfast and dinner. Helpful staff and lovely surroundings.
Being May we were a bit disappointed to find no evening atmosphere or entertainment in the hotel for our entire stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Six of us just stayed at The Grand Hotel Park, really enjoyed the stay, really welcoming staff always helpfull and willing.
Stayed Half Board so got used too the buffets, however quality pretty good, they did try and vary main meats etc.at dinner.
Try and get a sea view as its spectacular, we stayed in 412 which had side view , but did have mnor room as it had a single bed as well as twin beds.
Went on a couple of day trips use Tom Tours were great private minibus and driver ideal for our group.
