“LOVED THIS TOUR, EXCELLENT FRIENDLY LOCAL GUIDE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Ivo made our trip to Dubrovnik, simply over the top. Our best tour and port on our cruise. First of all he was professional but not stuffy. He made us feel as though we were family. Relatives who came to stay and he couldn't wait to share his country with him. We toured the old town, walls, then went to a small winery tasted local olive oil, wine, grappa, cheese and some fresh tomatoes. So sweet and local. Next to a beautiful town to have lunch , the freshest oysters ever. (because they farm them in their own backyard) We shared stories, We loved this country and we love Ivo. Make this a MUST DO!!!!!!!! Thanks again and if your ever in NYC, paul and I would be glad to show you around.

“NJ and NC friends-1/2 tour of Dubrovnil”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

Ivo was the best. He made the tour fun while we learned all about his great city!!!!! If your in Dubrovnik you would be doing yourself a great disfavor by not booking a tour with him!!! The van was air condition and we had no problem with understanding Ivo.

“Great tour of Montenegro! Tony is the best...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

We found Dubrovnik Private Guide tours here on Trip Advisor. Yesterday morning we were picked up by Tony, who was right on time and happy to see us. His car was clean and new. He asked us what we wanted to do on our tour, providing some options.

Once en route he stopped at appropriate scenic overlooks to take pictures of Dubrovnik and other sights in Croatia. We then traveled to the small waterfront village of Cavat, where Tony allowed us about an hour to stroll this beautiful little village.

Back in the car we made our way to the border crossing. Along the way, Tony shared some interesting history of the area and answered our many questions about life in Croatia. He was gracious and always had a smile.

Montenegro was filled with quaint villages that hugged the large bay. We stopped for lunch in Perast, where we enjoyed a great pizza at a small restaurant perched over the water. Following lunch we climbed a centuries old bell tower and then headed on to Kotor. This is an old walled city rich with history. Here Tony passed us over to a local guide who provided a deep history of this town.

After our hour long tour of Kotor we traveled on to Budva, located on the Adriatic. This walled city offered us a chance to stroll for a short while before jumping in the car for the return. Taking a 7 minute ferry ride we made a giant shortcut in our journey back to Dubrovnik. About 90 minutes later we were back at our hotel.

The day was just perfect. Tony made the experience fun. We laughed, shared stories and discovered a bit about his love life. Though we're not sure who he loves more--his "hot girlfriend" or his mother.

Thanks for a memorable day. If you're looking for a day of incredible scenery, you'll love the team at Dubrovnik Day Tours (Private Guide).

“Tour of Mostar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

I had been to Dubrovnik before so was looking for something different when the cruise ship was in that port. How could I not jump at the chance to head to Mostar in Bosnia!! I and another couple were picked up by Ivo. He was extremely knowledgeable with virtually perfect English. He was personable and the conversation ranged from his and our families to cultural experiences. His background on the former Yugoslavia and the countries it is now and their history and culture kept us attentive during the drive. He knew back roads and we whizzed through the border checks. He stopped whenever we saw something interesting or wanted to take pictures. When we got to Mostar, he handed us over to a local guide who was equal to the task. The town and its famous bridge were worth the long drive. On the way back, we stopped in Ston to see the salt plains and to walk through the town. It was a long but very worthwhile day.

This would not be a trip many would make, especially if they hadn't seen more of Dubrovnik and its outskirts. But, if this tour agency Dubrovnik Tours (dubrovnik-tours@outlook.com) does half as good a job on the local tours as it did for this one, you can't go wrong. It was obvious through all communication and the actual trip, that they take pride in their country and in their work. I hope that on my next trip to that area I can find another tour to do with them.
