“A standard 3 star hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

The hotel is NOT situated directly with view to old town of Dubrovnik, It is another bay of Dubrovnik, but one has a really wonderful view, this is beautiful. The hotel is up the hill two streets, was a bit difficult to find. It is clean and correct for a three star hotel, free parking and a very cheap kind of shuttle to the old town of Dubrovnik about 4 EUR, which was very convenient. The rest is standard, but if you don't want to spend too much, then it is a good choice.

This is a difficult place to review because while quite adequate in some respects the place is rather soul-less. It has a great high-view of modern Dubrovnik from its bar-terrace, super-clean rooms, but that's about it. Décor is non-existent, the rooms merely square boxes with a comfortable bed. Breakfast is adequate/typical 3-star but in no way special. This is taken in the top floor restaurant which, very sadly, was designed without a terrace (unlike the bar/reception on the floor below) and thus is utterly without character (a sad design flaw....how fab it would have been to dine out with that view). Staff were somewhat inefficient in taking my booking but kindly volunteered to reduce our rate (from double to single occupancy) when one of my party was missing. We found parking in town (the underground public car park) worked out cheaper than taking the hotel bus and waiting for the night bus up the hill. Bus service was appalling - be warned. So if you want a hotel that is super-clean and excellent price, but without much character and a long way out of the centre, go for it.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a room facing the harbour - amazing views.

The hotel adria is a great hotel as a base. You're close we the harbour for boats to mljet and near to a bus stop to get you into the city.
The rooms are clean, we had an amazing view over the harbour.
If you're looking for walking distance to Pile this isn't for you. But the buses are every 30mins, 15kn and run until 1am.

Breakfast is continental and perfectly acceptable.

We'd stay here again without hesitation... Unless we won the lottery and could afford to stay in the Hilton!

i just stay one night, the hotel is on top of the hill, don't try to climb to it, there are many many steps! if u arrive by bus, take bus no2.
and the hotel have shuttle bus to old twon or bus station, 15 for one way, it's acceptable.
breadfast is good, especially the view of the restaurant.
the staff is not efficient, but nice.

in one word, it's not bad, but a little over price.

My partner and I booked Hotel Adria fairly last minute and paid a high rate due to it being in the middle of summer. The hotel does not come close to being value for money (over 100 pounds per night) - the rooms are old, bathrooms are small and the service was non existent. The extent of the daily housekeeping was making the bed and even that wasn't done properly, they made the bed with clothing and items left under the sheets. The property is located high up on the hill and the only way to get to the Old City is by a half hour bus or shuttle provided by the hotel for a small fee. As big walkers, we usually like to walk from our hotel to the city but this was not possible at all due to the distance and the lack of walking paths. Breakfast was included, but pretty basic. The hotel does have good views over the port, but you can't see the Old Town from there.

The rooms have good and very big. The hotel looks new and in good condition. The location is not very good. Bus service is infrequent to hotel. The hotel does privide transportation to any location but yoy have to make your back. The most annoying thing is that the housekeeping person enters your room very early in the morning while you have breakfast. This inapproprate and unprofessional.

We found staff to be friendly and polite. You just need to get to know them. The hotel was a walk away from old town but we got the bus outside twice and hour. They do offer a shuttle but only one way. Breakfast was good and a variety of stuff.
