“Gives you a taste of what it's like to live there”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

There are three apartment units among local residents. It, therefore, is a unique place to stay since it's not a hotel. Instead, it's old, historic accommodations in the middle of the old city.

The second floor apartment has zero view. You will be facing the pedestrian alley way so be prepared to be awakened by local folks chatting and going up and down the stairway.

Overall, the room is clean and fun. Definitely bring your own soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc... The only thing provided to you are towels.

Make sure that you are okay carrying your luggage up the cobblestone steps. If you have a health condition, you may not wish to stay here.

The owner is a true pleasure. He is helpful and very friendly. If no one answers the door when you arrive, knock on the neighbors' doors. They will find the owner on your behalf.

Finally, the heating unit didn't work. It seems new, but if you're going in the winter time, make sure that you get an overview on how to operate it.

Room Tip: I read other reviewers getting a view. I'm assuming that it is on the third floor? Not sure.

We stayed 5 nights at the Viktorja Apartment B on Frana Supila, outside the city walls. We booked it because of the view and the price and we weren't disappointed or surprised. The view is as good as the view from the 5 star villa Dubrovnik that is located just across the road, but at a fraction of the price. The town is a short downhill walk, and the bus takes you right to the door if you don't feel up to walking back, though it's not a steep walk and there aren't any stairs to negotiate. If you're going to Dubrovnik to stay in your room all day, you might want something more elaborate than what this apartment has - which is basically a comfortable bed, roomy closet, very basic kitchen with a table and chairs, basic dinnerware and cutlery, a two burner stove, small fridge, sink and tea kettle (no toaster or coffee pot), a basic bathroom, and a couch. It has wifi, air conditioning and heat. The owners live downstairs and will get you extra supplies or arrange transportation if you need it. The only down side is that if you like to keep the windows and doors open, it can be a bit noisy, with a street front and back. The bus to town stops directly in front and sometimes idles for ten minutes. But don't go to Dubrovnik to stay in the room. Explore the beautiful sites, dine in the great restaurants, and come home to enjoy the view with a glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the Adriatic. Lovely.

We stayed for a week in an apartment. It overlooked the Stradun so couldn't have been more central. Great airconditioning in the room, small but modern ensuite bathroom and a well equipped bedroom with kitchenette. Double glazed windows helped to cut out most of the noise from Stradun. The owner was very friendly and passed on all his favourite places to eat and drink in Dubrovnik. You are on Stradun so it is a little noisy ... if getting a perfect night sleep is important to you then you're better off outside the old town, but if you can deal with a little noise then this place is a perfect base.

We visited Pavissa Apartments in June. The apartments are clean, comfortable and basic, but the have SPECTACULAR views AND air conditioning. You have your own compact kitchen, basic lounge, good sized bed room and bathroom, and a lovely little balcony overlooking the beautiful sea. Davroka and Pero are the most wonderful of hosts. The walk s
Down to the old city is beautiful and easy and the walk back up the hill is easy and not too taxing at all. This is not a luxurious apartment but it is a great place to base yourself for the week or so and relax taking in all that beautiful Dubrovnik has to offer. We WILL definitely return.

Stayed for 3 nights in May. Could not have had a better location, right on the main street (Stradun). Free WiFi, sound-proof windows when closed they worked very well, airport pickup was perfect - prompt and friendly. Basic kitchen but fine for short stay. Lots of stairs and can be tricky with heavy luggage. However not much contact with owners, only when they came to get money but were helpful with restaurants/sights etc. Some noise from people in apartments coming and going. Not quite a 'very good' rating but better than average.
