“Gorgeous B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

Great location, stone's throw distance from the Old Town but lovely and quiet. The building is amazing, it has the feel of a restored convent! The rooms are extremely spacious and well-equipped. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great location (four-minute walk from the entrance to the old town, but quiet), attractive rooms with sufficient space and good AC, and nice outside restaurant with leafy patio. Proprietor was friendly and helpful. Only downsides were minor: (i) weak wifi in the rooms (but fine from restaurant), (ii) deposit process associated with reserving a room is cumbersome and not very professional (you have to go to a Croatian bank website, calculate the deposit yourself, and when you’re done, no confirmation message is generated), and (iii) final payment for the room when you check out must be paid in cash (though dollars and euros are accepted, as well as kuna). Overall a great choice and a good value assuming the minor downsides are not a problem for you.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our trip to the Southern Dalmatian area. Mishka was an excellent host that gave us great tips about the neighborhood. Our room, which was the last room on the left, was spacious and we had our own bathroom with shower plus overlooked the garden which was gorgeous. The breakfast in the morning was quite nice and part of the room rate. We also received a discount for dinner at the restaurant which we took advantage of and had a great dinner there one of the nights. We paid less than a 1/3 of the price of the Hilton across the street and probably received better services. The location can't be beat. You can walk to the old city within in 3 minutes and while you can park for 24 hours on the street, we opted to park in the city parking lot so we didn't have to worry about paying the meter. The walk to the parking lot was under 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend this Inn to anyone going to Dubrovnik.

Room Tip: If you can get a room overlooking the garden I highly recommend it.

Marina is a warm and passionate cook who favors quality and you can totally taste it in her cuisine. Fresh local products cooked in a creative way, well presented. I was very impressed by the "Opera" that tasted wonderful.
The terrace is very pleasant and green, ideally located in the heart of Dubrovnik. It is even ideal for a romantic dinner. The service is attentive and very professional.
The restaurant inside is decorated with family paintings and souvenirs to bring even more warmth and tradition to Sesame.
If you want to combine great food and friendly atmosphere, I would recommend this place.

The Sesame Inn is located behind the restaurant on a small side street. The apartments are spacious, quiet, and very clean. It is air conditioned and my room had a view to the owner's private garden. It is steps away from the stoned walls of Dubrovnik, bus station, pharmacy, and grocery stores. Breakfast was included in the price and was great. The owner was a true gentleman. It was an ideal stay in a beautiful city!

This establishment was awesome. The owner is amazing, the room was clean, the shower was clean, etc. the staff is friendly, there is a restaurant as well and the food is incredible. The location is awesome (right outside the walled city). I cannot say enough good things about this place and to top it off it is reasonably priced!

a 3 minute walk to the old walled city and across the street from the Hilton, made this 4 room B & B very convenient. The proprietor made us feel very welcomed and it was a great place to come home to at night. The restaurant was extraordinary and we received a 10% discount there........get the fettucine with truffles! It was very clean and each room had a private bath.
