“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

This hotel is located just inside the walls of the Diocletian's Palace this hotel is well situated to attractions in and around the old town. When we checked in we were moved into one of the new rooms which was stunning and had a lovely view of the square outside. The staff is very friendly and have great advice for things to see and do in the area. Our only issue was that the bed was actually two beds pushed together which meant one of us would end up sleeping in the crack.

Room Tip: Beautiful rooms located in the new extension!

We looked at the reviews of this hotel which are great and had a night in here prior to a weeks saling so we were looking forward to a relaxing quiet day. When we were shown to the room we were told it was new and we were the first to stay there. It had a dusty smell, no curtains on the windows and a lamp hanging from the ceiling with cables connected! So asked for curtains(twice) nothing came. In the afternoon a drill started in an adjacent room and continued until 7pm, I called reception and the receptionist said she would bring it up with the manager. So a relaxing afternoon did not happen nor did a morning sleep since the sun came in at 530 am due to no curtains! Breakfast was sparce with no real service, food at the buffet was not replenished so very poor.
Checking out we thought maybe we would have a discussion regarding our stay but nothing. Some of the rooms are not ready and they are letting people stay there since as well as some people being not so happy there were good comments also.
I would not stay there again unless I could be guaranteed a completed room without building work ongoing.

Room Tip: Ask if it's finished!

Travelling with three friends, we had a wonderful weekend staying at this hotel. Once you negotiate the maze of streets within the Palace walls, the hotel is a delight. Stylishly decorated within ancient stone walls, it is very comfortable and attractive. But the best thing about this hotel is the friendly and obliging staff. We had a few problems while we were staying, namely a strike by Croatian Airlines which resulted in two of our flights being cancelled, and my purse being 'picked' in the crush near the cathedral (be aware), but the staff did all they could to help us sort things out. The other problem we had was with noise at night in the ground floor room but the reception staff were attentive to the problem.

If you stay here you will certainly be very well looked after. Many thanks to Dragana and her staff.

Room Tip: Don't have a ground floor room - can be noisy with building works, people walking past and the c...

Sun, smiles, fun...staying felt like one long positive moment that lasts. Breathing the life in every possible way! Staff is truly obligingly what I appreciate the most.
Staying in this hotel gave me a sense of welcome, belonging and truly touch with this little piece of heaven on the earth- Split. The hotel is followed by interesting background story which I will not reveal :)
The location is directly connected with the old/town core spirit, traditions and certain way of living of ordinary people.
Even the imperfections were just perfect, though they were few and irrelevant.
I didn't came with a car, therefore the reception agreed me a transfer from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport on the day of departure.
Combination of old and modern design makes great interior balance look.

What a journey...feels like I'm reborn again!

Staying within the wals of Diocletian׳s palace was truly impressive experience for me and my husband. Most of all, we were delighted with our room, a combination of modern and vintage with well preserved trifora, ones a part of the church which dates back to the 13th century!!!Rooms are quite clean and the beds are one of the more comfortable we were slept on.Breakfast was very tasty...very good coffee. At the end praise to all the staff, they really did their best to make our vacation more beautiful and more special.Certainly coming next year.

We have stayed at Jupiter Luxury Hotel for 2 nights. It was our first time in Split, and amazig opening for our vacation.

Staff was unbelievable hlepful and kind. They escorted us to parking lot an helped us with our lugguage, at begining of our stay and at the end. While guiding us, they introduce us with the most important details and monuments in Split.

Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Diocletian Palace. Rooms are very clean and tastefully furnished. Little „panda-docks“ are so cute that I wanted to take one home with me!

Anyway, I wanted to thank again to staff for their hospitality! Also, I wanted to highly reccommend this hotel to all of You who are traveling to Split.

Thanks,

Julie&Dike

We paid 140 euros for a double bed (actually 2 single beds put together) named "superior". Actually, everything is overstated about this hotel: far from 4 stars or luxury... The hotel is well located and nicely furnished, but the service (what really makes the quality of an hotel!) is operated by a poorly trained staff. Facilities do not work (sauna and jacuzzi are of no use...). Small rooms. No view . Breakfast is under average (if not worse). Would not worth more than 100 bucks...
