“Nice hotel, surrounds a bit grim, poor food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

If you could teleport the hotel out of its current surrounds and plonk it on a nice beach, it would greatly improve the overall experience. While sitting beside the fabulous pool, or on the stunning terrace, it's hard not to notice the shells of half built and derelict buildings surrounding you from every viewpoint. We were upgraded upon arrival, and our room was very comfortable with a large balcony (although not a very pleasant view!) Our welcome at check in and check out was very professional and friendly.

Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. As it's not very easy to leave the hotel to go to another restaurant, you are more or less confined to the food on offer. We ate in 'The Caper Grill' and I have to say it was one of the most unpleasant meals I've been served in a very long time. If you have to eat on the premises, skip the restaurants and eat a club sandwich on the terrace. The draught beer also tasted as if the lines were long overdue a clean. Service away from the front desk was slow, not up the usual Radisson standard, but still polite.

To note, this is a 'resort' hotel, it's not in Split, and it's not really within walking distance to Split.

We had a rental car so staying here was optimal with available parking. The drive to the old town center is easy, though if you don't get to the town center at the right time, I can imagine parking would be an issue there. Parking at the hotel was simple for us.
The room is ok and good sized. The breakfast terrace faces the ocean so if you don't mind the bees that are flying around you can enjoy a nice breakfast there. Stay away from the restaurant at the beach - expensive and not impressed with the food, though the environment is nice. The path for the beach access takes you to the rear of the hotel and passes the waste collection. A bit strange. We tried renting bicycles from the hotel but very expensive so we just opted to drive to the old town. If you have a car, this place would be good. I guess you can also take a taxi since there were always taxis waiting up front.

We stayed here for 3 nights, but booked the wrong nights and we arrived a night early. No problem, the staff said. they rearranged our dates AT NO EXTRA COST!!
the room was cool, massive bathroom with good shower. Spacious room and very very clean.
Staff were great and always helpful, especially Filip (I think thats his name).
Please be aware, you have to pay for parking, even if a guest 12EUR per day.

It has free wifi also alll over the hotel.
The brakfast was awaesome and you can sit outside view the ocean which is nice for someone grumpy in the morning.

My only issue that its a bit far from the main tourist area of the old city and its 9 eur for a 10min taxi drive there.

However, they have great restaurant with a friendly craotian waiter and Serbian cook who make great food with a good view. I would recommend the restaurant as a must even if not staying in hotel.

We stayed here for one night at the end of our holiday before flying back home. We had a fantastic experience with extremely helpful and friendly staff (and we were lucky enough to get a free room upgrade). The hotel bar has a fantastic outdoor seating area (well worth a visit at sunset) and we made use of the beautiful outdoor pool and the spa during the day after we had checked out. The breakfast was brilliant with loads of choice. Taxis from the hotel to old town were around 60 Kuna (10 minute drive) and to the airport was around 260 Kuna (30 min drive). Although this isn't a cheap option it is well worth the money if you have time to make use of all the facilities on offer.

This was a delightful break from the routine. On a recent tour of "Yugoslavia" we spent a night at this hotel. It's too far from the old town to walk, but shortly after arrival we took a taxi there and had a great time; the room was very restful and super mod; the breakfast buffet was excellent as was the dinner buffet. Sadly we had no time for the pool, but it looked great.

We stayed here for 2 nights and all was good except for the loud music blasting from a beach restaurant until 3;00AM on a Saturday night. It looked like the restaurant was set up for a wedding, so this may not be at all typical and Friday night was fine. The hotel itself has great views, especially from the suites that face the sea (though these are the same rooms that face the direction the loud music came from, so best to ask the hotel in advance if that is typical for a Saturday night). The pool area and terrace bar were both really nice and the hotel had a very large, complete breakfast buffet. The staff were really friendly and always willing to offer suggestions about where to go for sightseeing or dining. We would definitely go back there if visiting Split again. We also really liked Split itself, especially down by the waterfront promenade and exploring Diocletian's palace.

Room Tip: Suites have the best view, directly facing the sea, but make sure no late night events are planned a...

I was over in Croatia for a friends birthday and thought I would treat myself and my daughter to a last night of luxury in Split. I had stayed in the Radisson in Moscow and found it excellent so I was cheered to find one in Split. Sadly expectations were dashed and it was a very unpleasant experience.
We arrived in the afternoon and althrough there were three people on reception I had to wait fifteen minutes to check in and as I had a taxi waiting this was an expensive dealy. No-one looked up to acknowledge the queue that had formed and when I finally did reach the check in desk the receptionist did not even apologise for keeping me waiting for so long. We were shown to our room and had to go by the stairs as the lift was broken. The room was unbelievably awful. As soon as the door was opened you were greeted by the appalling smell of damp and drains, it only had room for a double bed (i had asked for twin beds), the bathroom was the size of a cupboard and there was not even room for our suitcases. It was decorated in 1970's motel style. Not even the lowliest hotel, let alone one purporting to be five star, should ever even contmeplate giving guests such a room let alone ones who are paying vast amounts of money for the privilege. I complained and was moved to a slightly larger room (still small) two doors down the corridor. This one at least didn't smell, but was furnished with Stalinist IKEA type furniture and was by no stretch of the imagination a room that should be in any luxury hotel. By now I was too tired to make a fuss.
Even the modern part of the hotel is reminiscent of a municipal sports centre. The only thing that lifted the spirits slightly was the lovely outdoor pool, but by now it was too late in the evening to make much use of it. All in all a horrid anti-climax to a lovely week. Avoid
