“A pedestrian street extending from Cathedral Square to the Sea.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

As you walk down Deribasovskaya Street, you will find everything from McDonald's to fine dining, sidewalk kiosks full of tourist kitsch to shops selling designer clothing. If you are in search of good quality souvenirs, visit the stands on the left of the Cathedral, where most of the items for sale were made by the artisans who are selling them and the quality is excellent.

If it's hot and you run out of energy, hire one of the horse-drawn carriages to take you down to the Potemkin Steps and along the seaside boulevard.

“The place to be seen”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Deribasovskaya Street is the place to see and be seen. It's also boring and predictably shallow... The restaurants are either trendy cafes or tourist traps, depending on your outlook. Many people hang out at the park at one end , and the Opera house at the other. The opera house is truly one of the finest in the world.

“A good walk and a place to check out the Odessa tourist pulse”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

I liked the lifesize cow statue that gets a new color and theme at certain points in the year. The shops and restaurants are great, but are very high priced by any countries standards. There always seemed to be a carnival atmosphere. Maybe thats because there is a mini-carnival half way up the street.)

This is the place to be Saturday night and Friday night (if you're not in a club of course).

“Usual high class central street in Ukraine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Anyone who has been to Artema in Donetsk or Kreschatyk in Kyiv will appreciate the focus of the central street in a Ukrainian city. This is the same with some sun thrown in, vibrant in the middle although it can peter out a little at the end, like the aforementioned streets.
