I highly recomend it and consider it a MUST when you visit antigua, food is amaizing, and its just around the corner from the Arc and a block from the Park... what more could you ask for!! Its a dream house!!! Loved the concept!! ITS A MUST

We were very excited to make the first stop on our Guatemalan honeymoon in Antigua and we were incredibly pleased with our choice of hotel. It was neat, charming, immaculately decorated, and had an incredibly beautiful and romantic rooftop view, all of which in a good location in Antigua.

The rooms were small, but such care went into their decoration that the size was not a problem. We loved the seating area outside our room, and the candles everywhere were a lovely and romantic touch. We had a second floor room facing the front courtyard and our bathroom had a skylight in it which was very nice as well.

I probably could have sat there for a year with the windows open enjoying the view and the rustic garden surroundings. Also, the breakfast we were served in the morning was delicious, especially the frijoles.

The only thing I can think of as a downside was that while the staff was always very friendly, I wish they had been a bit more informative when we asked for help finding places or for recommendations.

Hotel was lovely, it felt warm like a friend's home. I would suggest this place as best for a romantic getaway, but it is definitely a decent choice for family, business, or even solo.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms are best, possibly even better in the back of the hotel. Early in the morning we...

Fascinating rooms, one of the most beautiful and charming hotel in which I ever stayed.
My room was a little humid, one only window on one side only.
Breakfast is unfortunately poor.
Laundry service fast and at reasonable price.

A friend and I traveling together each had separate rooms for two nights here. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. As with many of the hotels in Antigua, the rooms only have windows that face the courtyard. We got rooms on the second floor which have skylights in the bathrooms which lit them up well. There were enough other light to make the rooms comfortable. The rooms were decorated pleasantly and extremely clean. The beds were excellent. The breakfast that came with the rooms was good- buffet one day. Lovely views of Antigua from roof. Great location so everything was easily reached by foot.

The proprietors and their staff treat their guests as "special guests". The setting is a true Guatemalan experience. The attention to detail is heart warming. Everything in and around the hotel is worthy of being photographed---just lovely.

I was there for a wedding party! International guests to that event, we all were staying in rooms on the first floor. The hotel was wonderful, like a museum almost. We enjoyed comfortable quarters, great breakfasts and we especially loved the terrace with great views of the rooftops of Antigua and the vulcanoes all around. The people of the hotel were very friendly and it was situated in the centre of the town, so we could easily walk to everywhere we wanted to pay a visit. Very pleasant indeed. i hope to return some day.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Meson de Maria. Antigua is a beautiful city
and a highlight of our trip to Guatemala. The hotel is small but
beautifully decorated. There are many little relaxation nooks all around the hotel.
You'll love spending time on the rooftop admiring the city. The volcano erupted
with smoke while we were on the top which was amazing to see in person.
We enjoyed the second floor but did have trouble with our shower working properly.
This hotel is definitely a great bargain for Antigua.
