“My regular local in Antigua”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2014

A tiny, unpretentious Irish pub where you'll walk on discarded peanut shells and get a quizzical look from the bartender if you try to order anything with more than 3 things in it. Friendly and cheap, no wi/fi so you'll need to talk to your fellow drinkers. Food can be ordered from Travel Menu next door (now owned by the Snug), which is good and not overpriced. If you want to splurge a bit they have Guinness and are currently the only place in Antigua with cider (Strongbow). Mostly ex-pats but welcoming to any and all. My only complaint is that they don't stay open later!

“Awesome local bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

One of the best local bars in Antigua, Irish-run and frequented by all of the expats in Antigua, this bar is on my daily circuit. Cheap drinks, good selection of beer and liquor, peanuts on the bar, friendly bartenders, and wacky locals keep this place interesting and fun. The place is small which adds to its charm. Weekly live music brings crowds and is a fun way to get close to the musicians in the small space.

“My home in Antigua”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

I've made fabulous friends for life in this tiny bar. Of course, that English is spoken is a respite after a day of my bad Spanglish, but there are a fantastic variety of people here.

I dare you to drink all night for less that $12 anywhere else in Antigua.

“The Snug Irish Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

The Snug is a perfect example of bigger is not always better. The Snug is very small as the bar seats 8 people and on the average night, there are 20-25 people comfortable crammed in there. A great group of gringos from around the world. Cocktails & beers are 13Q ($1,73)

Food is served from the Travel Menu which is next door and the food is EXCELLENT and affordably priced. But for a great place to meet locals, try the Snug. You will have fun and when many places are empty, the Snug is packed.
