My stay at the Casa Florencia was very, very enjoyable. The owner, and hands on manager Patricia, greeted me warmly when I checked in. I had several friendly e mails from her when I made my reservation and she was just as gracious in person. The hotel was a very safe haven away from the noise and crowds that you sometimes find in Antigua. It is very tastefully decorated and one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. Let me mention that I have been in 22 different countries and almost everyone of the United States. You always have hot water in your private bathroom and a kind face to meet you at the front desk. Someone is there 24/7 to help you. The view of Agua Volcano from the 2nd floor balcony is impressive. The sitting areas in the downstairs garden are charming. I can not say enough pleasant things about my 10 nights that I stayed at the hotel. I will finish by saying you can get a room at a 4 star hotel for a very good price if you make a reservation at the Casa Florencia. Try and do it ahead of time, they go very fast.

What a great hotel! The rooms are immaculate and very well kept. As a matter of fact, the entire place is spotless. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. This is a tiny place. Only 11 rooms. No fancy lobby. No massage therapists. No overblown amenities. Just a wonderful small hotel that is a steal at about $45 to $55 a night. I would recommend this hotel too anyone without reservation.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and very clean. Beds were firm and comfortable. The customer service was excellent. We stayed upstairs and enjoyed the view of the 3 volcanoes. The location was conveniently located near the main plaza and many restaurants. We enjoyed freshly brewed coffee every morning provided by the hotel. And the main selling point for us was to be able to use Casa Florencia as our base while we took side trips to the Mayan highlands and Tikal, but were able to take our overnight packs and leave our bigger luggage with the hotel. When we returned from our side trips our luggage was already placed back in our room upon return. The price is right and affordable for budget travelers. I would definitely return here.

After checking the reviews on this website we decided to stay at Casa Florencia and it was all worth it. The hotel is very clean, the room had all the necessities (good warm shower, deposit box and even a tv), the bed was good, the service very good and the staff very nice. The upper floor does indeed have a better view, so if available request the top floor. All in all, a great hotel for a very reasonable price in a very nice little city in Guatemala!
