“An oasis in Antiqua”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Quinta de las Flores is an oasis of tranquility and comfort in Antigua. It has beautiful gardens, large, well appointed, comfortable rooms and bed with a nice patio that looks out to the garden. The restaurant serves delicious and authentic Guatemalan fares and the waitstaff are friendly and courteous. It is about a 15-20 minute leisurely walk to the Parque Central or you can take the tuk tuks for Q15 . They arranged a prompt pick-up for us from and to the airport in Guatemala. We would stay there again without any doubts.

Room Tip: We love casita #9, it is near the pool and more private

I stayed for 3 nights. The room was large, well furnished, comfortable and clean. Service was excellent. The restaurant served good food at a good price. Wi-fi was fast with a good band width. The gardens are well kept and relaxing.

My only note is that the hotel is a longish walk from the centre of town. Although it's not a significant problem, it was necessary to take a cab late at night.

After a 40 hours in transit we finally reach Quinta de las Flores and oh my what a relief. This place is just stunning. The grounds are extremely well kept and just a joy to walk around, the rooms are spacious, inviting and comfortable! The staff (although they do not speak English too well) were extremely friendly and helpful. Sitting at the bar we asked the bartender the history of the residence, with his reply being an old and well looked at photo album with the history, discovery and revivification of the old bath house. Pretty special. The food was good. Although Guatemala is known for is 'unsafety' this hotel was completely guarded 24 hours and surrounded by big gates and walls. If ever to return to Guatemala (Antigua) I would definitely stay here again! High 5 to Quinta de las Flores!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Garden room. I would recommend spending the little bit extra to stay in one of thes...

Quinta de Las Flores is the most beautiful hotel! We had the pleasure of staying in room #9, it was clean, bright and had it's very own patio. The restaurant was delicious and the prices were reasonable. We had our lunch served to us poolside complete with homemade guacamole, tortillas and beer. The fountains, the gardens and the staff were all perfect. If you want to stay in your own private oasis choose this hotel.

Quinta de las flores was a really special place. The grounds are beautiful and they have an exceptional restaurant and staff. I really cannot say enough about the grounds and how happy we with the folks that work there. We stayed in the garden and our room was very cozy and even had a fireplace, although when we lit it our room got too smokey and we abandoned it after one night. We paid $90 per night and the feedback we got around town is that we were overpaying a little. We tend to be budget travelers and so if we went back we would probably explore some other places before staying here again. That being said it was a really nice time and i can't imagine someone not having a great stay.

Room Tip: stay in the garden

Quinta de las Flores is a great place to relax and explore Antigua and surrounds. The hotel and grounds are really beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant serves good food. There's a pool. The location is away from the centre of town and the better for it. Having travelled overland from Mexico City, this hotel was what we needed to relax and unwind.

I stayed here for two nights during a recent visit to Guatemala. Located a short distance from the center of town, the hotel in contained behind walls. Once you enter the gates, you are in a really lovely garden. The smells were intoxicating, the variety of plants just wonderful, and the view of the volcano was great.
The rooms are well proportioned, beautifully decorated, very clean and and very comfortable. All staff members with whom I interacted were lovely. Breakfasts were generous and varied, and served overlooking the gardens.
There is also a pool, although I thought it was a bit too chilly for a dip when I was there.
