My mother and I were rescued by the Posada del Angel when the hotel we had booked cancelled our reservation last minute. They arranged transportation to and from the airport which was totally reliable (even though our plane was an hour late due to weather). The hotel was gorgeous, candles everywhere, and beautiful furnishings. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet...it's hard to even call this a hotel because it was more like coming home every evening. There were some glass tiles in the ceiling and the room was a little bright in the morning, so my mom and I decided to cover them with the patio furniture above. The next day, we noticed that the hotel staff had noticed what we had done and had used some larger tiles to more completely cover the openings! Breakfast every morning with the beautiful backdrop of the volcano was amazing - fresh fruit, delicious tea and french press coffee and then wonderful eggs, french toast, etc. I can't say enough about how we were treated and the beautiful atmosphere, as well as the convenient location to the rest of this beautiful city!

This hotel is truly one of a kind. The rooms are uniquely appointed and the beds are super comfortable. The place is immaculate. Breakfast (delicious) on the rooftop deck facing the volcano is a great experience. The hotel was very helpful in arranging transfers and tours (offering various options based on budget and level of adventure). We will definitely recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Thank you!

I have been living in hotels for the past 2.5 years and this is one of my top 3 hotels world wide. President Bill Clinton stayed here on the last US president visit to Guatemala. The ambience of the hotel is what makes it so great. The rooms are traditional and the staff adds to the charm of this little hotel. You feel as if you have entered the garden of Eden when you come inside the doors of this hotel. There is a fire place inside your room, beautiful terrace where you eat your traditional yet very delicious breakfast. The staff treat you as if you have been living at the hotels for years and they pay great attention to your habits and likes and dislikes. It is located in a very peaceful part of Antigua yet very close walking distance to the center of town. You havea a great view of the volcano from the terrace as you eat breakfast. The hotel at night is very charming with floor candles lighting your way to your room and freshly burning wood fireplace heating you at night. Would highhly recommend it for couples celebrating something special.

This posada..is amazing, intimate,classic elegance the moment you enter !!! The entire staff are so caring, so informitive...the rooms are so beautiful..the fireplace is inviting..we stayed for 3nites and enjoyed a superb daily breakfast on the roof top terrace in front of the volcanos..Everyone was more than willing to suggest local interests,resturants,banks....make local phone calls for you..set up anything you requested....We were treated like royalty,and yet at the same time felt like family....
