“nice church”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

This was a great church to visit and it shows what it was like back then before the earthquakes. The only thing that sort of got under my skin was the price they charge at all there sites just to see a load of rubble. Thats what we call it back home ...rubble

“Don't understand the #1 ranking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

I was primarily interested in seeing the ruins for photographic opportunities, and these were nothing special compared to others in town. In fairness, the existing church itself might be great, but I didn't go in. The circus atmosphere outside kind of turned me off.

“Interesting history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

The church itself is nothing out of the ordinary, but reading about the history makes it a much more interesting experience. Be sure to pay the 5Q to visit the museo next door to read about Hermano Pedro and see the hall of Milagros and his personal artifacts. The best value in town.

Noon mass the best. Lots of people praying in the middle of the day not eating just praying and singing.
