“Beautiful ruin and church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

Great photo ops, be sure to allow enough time to walk the entire property. There are many ruins in Antigua, this is one of the best.

“Beautiful ruins, interesting history”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2012 via mobile

The church & museum are well worth a visit, and the ruin-filled gardens are beautiful. The Hall of Miracles was the highlight for me.

“Life of Hermano Pedro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Wonderful place to see the life and history of Hermano Pedro. We were even so fortunate to be there to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of his canonization with a beautiful Mass and festival.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

San Francisco had the most beautiful ruins in Antigua. It was interesting to learn about San Pedro. The combination of museum and ruins made for a very interesting exploration.

“worth putting time aside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We came on a Sunday morning. Mass was being said so it limited us going into the church for pictures etc... but the Mayans were beginning to set up their booths under the sheds. They were also cooking and families were gathering to eat. Was nice to see this local tradition. We walked the beautiful grounds, where the natural greenery against the landscape of centuries of ruins was dazzling and wonderful for photos. The statue to their Saint and museum areas were extremely interesting, especially the "room of miracles". A MUST see. We purchased candles from the vendor and lit them for special requests. It was a very interesting trip and well worth the 3 hours spent there. Even the bathrooms were immaculate!! I recommend putting this at the top of your list of places to visit in Antigua. Easy to walk to from anywhere.
