I went to Antigua with some friends of mine from Guatemala City. After having lunch at another restaurant, I asked them to take me to the best cafeteria in town, since I was feeling like eating something sweet.
They didn't think it twice, and they took me to 'Café Condesa'. I absolutely loved the place!
Just going into this cafeteria felt great. It was so beautiful passing by the bookshop and the art gallery. Inside, there was a well-kept garden with a warm atmosphere which really invited to linger longer.
I ordered a home-made lemonade and a pecan pie. Yummy! Maybe a bit overprice, if compared with other places I had visited before, but I didn't mind at all.
Our waitress (unfortunately I can't remember her name) was all smiles. In the patio where we were seating, there was a family from Guatemala City with two very rude children, who didn't stop running around and bothering other clients. A foreign couple asked this waitress, if she could said something to the parents. She did so and, although she got a very rude answer from those parents, she acted very professionally and she didn't lose her smile. Bravo!
