“Nice little hotel which worth the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

First, I have had a great stay and I recommend Hotel 7 to the people I met in other hostels or hotels in my trip around the Balkan Peninsula.
The hotel staff is nice, she helped me with the luggage. There is a water machine and free coffee, tea, herbal tea is served all day. My bed is comfortable. The toilet is clean. The shower is a little small but I am OK with it. For breakfast, I pick the bread I like at the bakery next door and the bakery lady is nice. The bread is yummy: I have had 2 times a ham and cheese filling bread and a bagel like seasame bread ring.
It's like 15 mins walk to the city centre and there is a shopping mall close by. With the money I paid for 2 nights at Hotel 7, I can hardly find another place similar to it. If I return to Skjope, I would definitely stay at Hotel 7!

I had to give it a "poor" rating, because that's what it is in its full meaning.
You don't pay much so don't expect much. Since I was there on a low budget, I didn't expect anything and wasn't suprised much.
It took me some time to find the hotel since it lacks signs and is accessible only from one end of the street.
They do have a garage but you need exeptional driving skills for it and it's for one car only (three old italian "cinquecentos")
The rooms (it was 4 of us) were nice, almost clean and spacy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast is at the next door bakery, which is still much better than a bad one.
A taxi drive to old town is 5 to 10 minutes - had to take the cab due to the garage. Taxi is cheap.
It's a good bargain but overall a poor hotel.

Nicely located just a few hundred feet from one of the main streets, all major sites in the centre are within the walking distance. Comfortable, and clean rooms with AC, TV and fridge, coffee making facilities and water available in the corridor, kind and helpful staff. Perfect for a short stay in Skopje.
Maybe the garage is a bit too narrow if you have a jeep.
Would go back definitely!

A smallish hotel amongst shops and taken aways. THe immediate area is a bit run down but seemed safe enough. About 15 mins walk into the city centre. Room clean. Staff helpful and they can arrange collection from the airport. The breakfast is a bit limited in that you chose items from the bakery next door

Found this place by accident, very pleasant and inexpensive. Rooms a bit old fashioned but clean and everything worked OK (incl the WiFi). My room at the front of the hotel had a balcony overlooking the busy road but it was not noisy.
The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the old part of Skopje, well worth a wander.
Breakfast at the top of the hotel was very nice.

My work colleague recommended Hotel 7 and so I took the plunge and stayed for one night during a weekend trip to Skopje.
It is an unassuming hotel hidden amongst a row of shops and cafe's, probably 20 minutes walk from the city centre.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming; the single room I had included an en-suite, cable TV and overlooked the road outside. It was clean, comfortable and had air conditioning.

30.00 Euros for the room, great value.

Room Tip: A room at the front overlooks a reasonably busy road from the city, and the UPVC double glazing does...

Another small inexpensive hotel on my eastern European journey. Another very comfortable room, spotless also which is always nice. This hotel consists of a few rooms above a shop on a busy but pleasant street. The family members who checked me in were helpful, friendly, welcoming so all was well. The only issue I had was the fact there is no staff on duty at night, they all go home, in fact the mother called a taxi for me to go to the bus station in the morning from her home. Now, since it's a nice neighborhood and secure building this was not a huge issue. The only problem was my inability to get the shower to work--nothing wrong with it I'm sure--just one more imaginative thing shower makers have thrown into their designs to keep travelers on their toes. I thought I had figured out every way to turn on a shower that existed but obviously I had not and since no staff was on duty I did a sort of splash-bath and let it go at that. No big deal really, but I suppose it could be if something serious were to come up. Maybe there really is someone in the building but they go out of their way to teach guests what to do with their keys when they leave early, etc. Otherwise great little place.
