“Good but pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012 via mobile

Overall great food great servers and bar tenders. 6 bucks for a domestic draft is Way to much. They never have drink or beer specials.

“Best server Melissa!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012 via mobile

We had been several times before but truly felt like we were family with Melissa as our wonderful server.
The food is always amazing even when the service isn't but I guess that means they treat you like family in their own special ways LOL
Seriously.... You owe it to yourself to dine here.

“Average food, nice service, close to hotels”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

During recent business trip to Andover MA had dinner at the Chateau Restaurant. Nothing fancy, nice bar, friendly old school waitresses. Plenty of selections on the menu with entrees ranging from $10.00 to about $17.00. The Calamari starter with hot peppers was very good and another party member had a huge tasty chinese chicken salad. The pasta and red sauce are just average. Good news is that it is close to about 5 hotels and very convenient to route 93.
i would stop in again when traveling in the area

“Enjoyable Italian Food but noisy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

I visited the Chateau in Andover twice in the past month. My review for each visit is about the same. First the service was very good. The food was excellent. The bread was delicious but not warm (would be a nice touch). The decor was average. I would say the Chateau food was very consistent. The wait staff were very competent but not spectacular. The price for dinner including a drink and tip was about $30-35 per person. We pretty much ate off the specials menu so I am sure you could kick the price up at least another $10 or so easily. All and all a good place to eat that is not overly expensive. The one major criticism I have is that the place is quite noisy. I believe it mostly due to some large groups of people sitting with smaller groups. The larger groups are all speaking loudly trying to get to talk to each other over larger distances. So the volume goes up. When that happens, other people can’t hear each other and they talk louder. Pretty soon there is a lot of noise. On my first visit, when the one large group left, the noise level in the room dropped substantially to the point where you could talk quietly and easily hear each other. The management of the Chateau should consider how it seats large groups. They should try to avoid putting a bunch of smaller groups in the immediate vicinity.
