“Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Thai Sweet Basil is a smaller restaurant in a strip mall, and easy to miss. The food and service are good and the prices reasonable. We have gone for lunch on occasion and played a game of scrabble while waiting for and eating our meals. Too little table space to do this properly, but the staff are patient and sometimes entertained.

“Yum for the Tum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

After reading the Trip Advisor reviews, we decided to give Thai Sweet Basil a try. The menu is large and varied. It was hard to choose, but we finally ordered House Siam Fried Rice, Pad Thai, and Chicken Hot Basil. We all enjoyed our meals and our plates were empty by the end. We had deliberately not ordered appetizers because we wanted to save room for some tasty sounding desserts. We ordered ginger ice cream and Thai custard. Yummmmm !! Because we still have several other items that we want to try, we will be heading back. The staff were attentive, but perhaps it is a cultural thing that they were focused on doing the job without a smile or friendly feel. That said, we went to enjoy a good meal, not make new friends, so no harm no foul.

“Our favorite Thai restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We live 30 miles away up in NH but when we're near Andover visiting family we like to stop in here. The atmosphere is warm, the place is clean with a warm atmosphere and the food is excellent. My wife likes their curries and I tend to go for spicy meat and vegetable dishes, but we both love all of their appetizers. We have a few Thai restaurants in our area but we always find ourselves going out of our way for Sweet Basil.

“Very Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013 via mobile

Very good Thai food. Probably the best in or near Andover. Eat in or take out. Take out is ready for pick-up in around 10-15 minutes (family of 4). Never eaten in, but the employees seem very nice and attentive.
