“first time visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

Been wanting to go to the Eric Carle Art Museum and finally got there last weekend for the puppet theatre performance. Used a library pass for general admission. Nice facility. Galleries, cafeteria, library, art room, auditorium, bookstore, grounds. Could easily spend hours there if you wanted to take it all in and read books that go with the displayed exhibits.
I did a quick walk through, watched the 45 minutes performance, bought a book in the bookstore, and did an art project in the art room. The library is attractively set up like a living room. Lots and lots of books. I will need to come back sometime when I have more time to sit back and leisurely take it all in.

Love the museum but the bookstore is fantastic. So fun to read through so many creative children's books.

“Take Your Kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

Our adult daughter loves children's book and knew of much of Carle's work. We spent an enjoyable few hours admiring the picture art of this man. The museum has many features for children and a lab where they can create their own art using many tools available. Be sure to watch the Eric Carle's story on a 30 minute video in the auditorium.

“Nice but very small”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Fun for a short visit if you are in the area or are a real fan of children's book illustration. The building is open and the light good. Parking is easy. The location is way out in the middle of nowhere.

“Still love it after visiting again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

The museum is smallish but there's usually plenty to do. The museum changes its exhibits often, there's a large library of children's books, and a first class arts center with different projects on most days. The membership is reasonable and would pay for itself if you plan on visiting again. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
