Typical Fairfiled....not new, not great, not real clean, but the best available around here. When I checked in, I had no soap in my room. Got some at front desk. When I returned from dinner I asked for a bottle of water and was told there was none, but watched the clerk hand one to another man right in front of me as I waited for the elevator. When I asked again he told me that water was only for "elite" members. After I showed my Marriott Elite card, he then gave me the stupid bottle of water. He never asked me if I was elite, or even apologized for the misunderstanding. In fact, he said nothing. He was a rude jerk, and that's enough to keep me from not going back. If it wasn't enough, the pink mold growing all over the shower enclosure and bathroom floor tops it off. Apparently the housekeeping department doesn't have access to soap, either.

Thank you for your patronage to the Fairfield Inn Amesbury. I would like to personally apologize for the "rude" treatment from the front desk clerk. I have spoken to the clerk about this issue and the clerk also extends his apologies. It is with deep regret that you did not encounter any of our guest service agents that have superior customer service skills and are the reason that many guests do come back to the hotel. I hope that if you are in the area again that you will give the hotel another chance. Please contact me at the hotel if you would like to speak with me directly on this issue.
