I made a recent “road trip” to this quaint restaurant…an early morning “meet up” for breakfast with family. I had planned on visiting this place for quite some time and it was worth the drive. As we were the first diners though the door that morning, we had an opportunity to meet and chat with the “namesake” owners, Patty and Joe. They were terrific…friendly and accommodating. You get the sense this home-style restaurant embodies a lifelong dream. We enjoyed terrific breakfast fare but we are determined to revisit for their better know southern cuisine. You get the sense their heart and soul is a central part of their culinary offerings. The owners are well travelled and they possess an abundance of regional experience that they appreciate. In our area, you can’t find many places offering Cajun style fare among a variety of other dishes. This place offers something for everyone and you can tell that Patty & Joe aim to please. We are looking forward to return visit for some southern style home cookin’ with a dash of southern charm and warm hospitality. I wish Patty & Joe’s was closer. It’s the kind of place where you could easily become a ‘regular’. But, now that I have made the journey, I will make certain that the occasional road trips become more routine events.
