We stayed at the hotel two nights for a family event in the area. We were expecting much more from the website and price range. There was an extra charge for parking the car and internet service in the room. The hotel was old, and had been updated maybe 10 years ago or so. The ceilings were low, the carpet needed replacing, the bathrooms were "old school" tub and tile. The room smelled musty and that may be because of the proximity to the water, but still --- I've been to rooms on the coast in this and many other countries and only in old hotels do you get that musty smell. My husband who is 6'3" had to squat to get under the shower head. It was so old school, there was a bottle opener attached to the bathroom door frame --- is that 60's or 70's? something like that. The rooms were very clean though, and the bed linens were crisp and white and appealing. Surprisingly, there wasn't an ammenities shop with magazines, newspapers, snack, sodas etc --- just vending machines on a couple floors. We were on the 3rd floor in a "city view" room and we overlooking the exhaust of the restaurant --- glad we weren't staying in the room very much, but the smell of bacon from the restaurant in the morning was something my husband thought was an added ammenity. If we had been in the room more I would have requested a room overlooking the bay.
On the other hand, it has great location right on the water, easy walk to the historic Annapolis and the Naval Academy grounds. We didn't eat in the restaurant or bar, but it was quite lively and because the Baltimore Ravens were playing in the playoffs, it was an excited large crowd. I heard from friends it is a popular place. Boats are pulled right up to the hotel, nearly, so very convenient if you are coming in my boat, certainly. The hotel bell-staff were all over us to help us with our bags, our car, or anything we might think of $$$.
