Great Service. All employees went above and beyond to see that we had a good experience. I would definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I were here for a wedding last October and stayed at the Loews. Overall, it was nice enough- clean room and fairly spacious. The location was also great; we were within walking distance to the waterfront and shopping. The lobby shop was also great- we picked up a few snacks and some Advil the morning after the wedding. However, the hotel's decor left a lot to be desired. It was just your average international contemporary style...yawn. The sports bar also wasn't so great- the bartender ignored us for 15 minutes even though it wasn't busy. When our food finally came, it was kind of gross, and there wasn't much for me to order in the first place (I'm a vegetarian). Breakfast the next morning in the fancier restaurant was ok, but for the price I felt could have been better.
All in all, it was just ok.

This is the 3rd Loews property I have stayed at (Philadelphia & The Madison DC the others) and this chain is one of the best in business.
This Loews is located in downtown Annapolis about 1/2 mile from the Capital & waterfront area. The hotel offers a shuttle to the waterfront but the weather was good and it was a nice, easy walk.
The hotel is first class. You are greeted by bellmen who must park your car ($18 valet fee is mandatory for parking ... ouch!) and they were exceptional and efficient. The check-in staff was equally as friendly & competent. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby (although I did not use them). In the morning, the bar area turns into an expresso bar and the coffee was top notch. I used the fitness facility and found it to be small but adequate (and there was Fuji water bottles available - not your run-of-the-mill water bottles).
The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable (maybe not to Westin / Sheraton standards) but pretty good. TV was HD (but I could not find any HD channels). Bathroom was small but efficient. The heating unit did not seem to regulate exactly but was not a big issue.
I had dinner at a place called Pad Thai that was a small, swanky Asian bistro that was very good and a short walk from the hotel.
This is an excellent choice for someone visiting the great city of Annapolis.

This is a hotel that bears the Loews name but doesn't live up to what I've experienced at other hotels in the chain. This hotel had long, rambling corridors that left you feeling lost in a maze. It had smallish rooms with small bathrooms. Plastic veneer furniture. The hotel charged for wi-fi access. The restaurant was over-priced, service was slow and surly, and the food was mediocre. The hotel bar was dreary and unpleasant. Parking was not included in the room charge: an extra $18 a day. However, the front desk staff and parking attendants were great. Personable and attenetive. The bottom line: we found this Loews to be just slightly better than a Fairfield Inn, Comfort Inn, etc. Very middling in quality. You can do better.
