“The "Cheers" of Annapolis”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

We stopped in for a few drinks and appetizers. We lucked out and got seats at the bar. The place was very busy. Appears to be a favorite with the locals. We only had Maryland crab soup and the crab potato skins. Both were good (not fantastic). The bartender who waited on us was VERY good. Would rank him up there with one of the best we've come across. Very welcoming, engaged all guests, good service. We felt like we were one of the "locals" even though it was our first visit. Guy from Diner, Drive-ins and Dives has visited here. Next time we stop we'll have to try a meal.

“Best Crabcakes, Maybe Anywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

This small, neighborhood bar feels like a perfect place to watch a game and have a quick meal or a drink. But unexpectedly, they have the most phenomenal crabcakes in the region. Reasonably priced and huge, you get amazing jumbo lump crabcakes or gargantuan amazing jumbo lump crabcakes. When in Annapolis, it's a must.

“Neighborhood pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

This is a local pub and it is obvious they have a lot of return customers. You do have to wait for a table because there are no reservations. Unfortunately there is not a good place to wait other than at the small bar. Try the pretzel crab which is excellent. We tried the hamburgers, a steak and a chicken dish--all very good.

“Nice local pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

My wife and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon when visiting the Maritime Museum. It was recommended by one of the employees and was within walking distance of the museum. It is a nice local pub. Fairly large menu and plenty of specials. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very good.
We both had the crab cake sandwich and shared a plate of nachos. The portions were large.

We will visit again when we come back to Annapolis.

“Great Crabcakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

This is a out of the way place. Clearly a locals place a corner bar. Very narrow streets in this area so be warned. On street parking only and you may be a block away. There is outside seating under roof. Service was quick and the waiter was attentive refilling drinks and making sure we were satisfied with our meal. It is close quarters inside with few tables but I found it a friendly place. Get the crab cakes!!!
