The food is always good, and the drinks even better. I suggest this as the place to go, for any new people in town. Just beware of the parking and limit yourself to 2 margaritas.

I have been eating at the Mexican Cafe for years. I come from a large family who is deep-rooted in the Traditional Mexican Restaurant business in Arizona. It is by far the best Mexican eatery in Annapolis and can hold its own against any place in the DC area. It looks like an off the wall back alley place eat, but it is well worth stopping in and enjoying the food. A few of the staff have been there for as long as I have been enjoying the place and a that adds to the atmosphere, although everyone seems to enjoy being there.
The Margaretta's are strong, the home-made salsa, tasty and the food excellent.
The weekend crowd starts heading in after 2 p.m. so expect a wait if you are a traditional early evening dinner eater.
