“Good night's sleep”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

We just stayed at this Hilton this past weekend for a wedding. The inside looks newly redone and the staff at the front desk was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable for a hotel! The only problem we had was the floor tiles in the bathroom were all coming up. Pieces of grout were cracking and just laying on the floor. Tiles were actually lifting out. You had to be careful when you got out of the shower that a tile didn't tilt below you and cut your foot. We let the front desk know when we checked out and he "closed" the room until they could get someone up there. Also, the blowdryer is still the old travel blowdyer attached to the wall. Seems like most hotels are switching to the full size dryer in each room. Not much power in those little dryers.
Overall, the stay was very nice. We were told at check-in that there was a made to order breakfast for $9.95 a person, but we opted to grab Dunkin Donuts around the corner.

We were travelling with friends and arrived at the 3:00 check in time to be told that they had been sold out the night before so NO rooms were ready. Could we come back in 30 minutes or so? We arrived back in 30 minutes to be told the rooms still were not ready and it was close to 5 o'clock by the time we were allowed to check into a room. The rooms were ok but nothing special and you could certainly tell they did a quick clean as there was only a half roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and not nearly enough towels and wash cloths. The bed was large but clearly needed to be replaced. Not comfortable at all. The "free" breakfast which we thought we got, turned out to cost $9.95 EACH so we decided to eat elsewhere. Everything about this hotel was a disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone unless every place else is sold out.

Room Tip: Select a room at a different hotel as I don't think there is a good room at this particular one.

I've stayed here before and have always had a pleasant time. This time it's been a little up and down.
Desk staff very pleasant and professional. Restaurant staff not so much. Service during dinner was incredibly slow. Server not attentive. Salad took 20 minutes. Bar closes at 9:00 which is not welcoming for those checking in late or wanting an after dinner drink. Even when it was busy they closed up. Makes no sense. If you have paying customers stay open. Don't these people work on tips?
Breakfast took 20 minutes for scrambled eggs and was made incorrectly.
Clearly, the room was not vacuumed during the entire stay.
Toiletries were not replenished during the week.
I travel every week. HGI is my hotel of choice throughout the country. I have stayed here man times before and been satisfied. This time...underwhelmed.
Hope this was just a fluke. I have one more night left. If any more issues, I will choose the Doubletree down the street next time.

Excellent breakfast included in price. Staff could not be better! The only issues were the bed was too soft and the room carpet needed either deep cleaning or changing.

I would highly recommend this property. Conveniently located - minutes from downtown Annapolis - 30 from Washington DC.. Pharmacies, restaurants nearby. Walmart is less than 15 min away.

Would stay there again.

Room Tip: Try to get the handicapped room - handle bars in bathroom, more room to move about. If not, I'm...

The staff was so friendly, the hotel was super clean, and our room was comfy. Would definitely stay there again while visiting Annapolis. We only stayed one night. I wish we could have stayed longer. The price was also very good compared to the area.

The location of this hotel is great. It is only a few miles from downtown Annapolis. There is also shopping center around the area and several food chain. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was a great value.
