“Typical Hilton GI, but a Terrific Staff!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

Stayed one night for business. Clean rooms and the staff here is terrific! Genuine service oriented staff and they were a pleasure to be around. Got a GREAT restaurant referral from the front desk on a seafood Restaurant nearby. Breakfast was very good.

We checked in late and it was nice to find the coffee and tea still fresh and available in the hotel lobby. The room was clean. We were mildly disappointed that room service stopped at 10 pm. We did make a purchase from the Pavilion Pantry and were disappointed when we got back to the room to find that one of the ice cream bars had been melted and re-frozen. It was a mess, however it was readily exchanged for one in perfect condition. The air conditioner seemed to have a problem as it would cycle on and off through the night - the room was never the right temperature - it was either too hot or too cold - giving us both a fitful night's sleep. There was also a rhythmic pounding that woke us up in the morning. Perhaps the laundry is above the room we were given. Hopefully that was just an anomaly.

Even though everything else about the hotel was excellent, the room design was absolutely terrible! We were in a suite and because of the louvered doors between the bedroom and living room and poor soundproofing, when the TV was on in the living room, it blasted in the bedroom making sleep impossible even when the TV was on low volume. We have never had this problem in any other hotel where we have stayed. For that reason we would not return to this hotel and were extremely disappointed in our stay there.

Lucille G:

Thank you for your response. I'm glad you found most of our accommodations to be up to par. I am sorry to hear that our room type did not meet up to par with other Hilton Garden Inns that you've been too. We will do our best to try and rectify this matter and we hope that you give us another chance when you are in the area again.

Again, thank you for your time and consideration.

We had a large group with blocked off rooms for a family reunion. I was able to check in at 1 pm on Friday and go right to the room. We were in a 1 bedroom king suite. Spotless and huge. The bathroom was so nice and big with a walk in shower and hot tub as well.
We did not eat at the hotel for breakfast as it as at least 11$. Drive a mile up the road to the Doulble T DIner. Incredible food for breakfast. Always busy. We have eaten her before and loved the food and huge portions.
The lobby of the Garden is spacious with much seating.
Above all, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. So pleasant and friendly.
Great job!

Located 10-15 minutes from downtown Annapolis depending on traffic. We had late check in without any issues. This is not a cheap hotel, but it was nice and clean.

Was denied the breakfast there since my HiltonHonors was downgraded (boo!), but there are plenty of food choices on the outside...nearby Dunkin Donuts did the trick. Plenty of shopping in the area.

Parked my freshly cleaned car in a corner spot only to find it half-covered in water due to sprinkler the next morning :(

We stayed here for one week and were more than happy with the hotel. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful which made us feel very special. A bonus for us was the free guest laundry, wi-fi (so many hotels charge for this) and up-to-date business centre. There was a well equipped gym and a swimming pool. We only used their restaurant for breakfasts, which were more than adequate for our needs. Our room was reasonable, but their bed making and room cleaning service is not that great - on most days I redid the bed myself. The hotel itself is a bit out of town and as there is no public transport, it would be better to have your own car to get around. Overall a good experience.

This Hilton Garden Inn is a bit older but my stay was good and without problems. I would recommend this hotel if you need to stay in Annapolis and particularly if you need a HHonors property. I will return.

The room was mostly clean. The bed was not the best likely due to age. It's a bad sign when they have to add aftermarket mattress tops but it was not uncomfortable. They are likely due for a renovation. I did like that they have cable TV. Usually most hotels with cable offer a higher number of HD channels compared to the satellite TV services typically found in hotels.

Check in was fast and easy even late in the evening.

Breakfast was free as a Diamond member and was your typical HGI breakfast. I had a cooked-to-order omelet and the waiter brought it to me. Breakfast was good.

The surrounding area is not all that great. You'll need to drive 1-2 miles to find places to eat. There was a high-end outdoor town center shopping mall but I never got to give it a chance.
