Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

“Great crab”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

Great atmosphere, large menu and great service. No water view but loads of parking. A few outdoor tables. Seafood items we ordered were top notch (crab soup, crab cake sandwich and fresh fish).

“Great Annapolis atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Great casual restaurant with a sailing theme.

The jerk chicken sandwich with mango chutney is a personal favorite.

Don't miss the Smith Island cake!

“Delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

My wife and I had dinner here during a recent getaway to Annapolis. The food was very well prepared in good serving sizes. We enjoyed crab in three different forms--soup, a smoked appetizer, and with mac and cheese. Nice. The mango ribs special was terrific and a great value, too. The bar sports a decent selection of local drafts. On a sunny evening we were very happy at our outdoor table. Solid service, too.

This is truly an excellent restaurant - casual dining and great food! Service is always good and really, the food is fantastic...salad with perfectly-cooked salmon, great fish tacos and super fish and chips. The list goes on and on!

“I like this spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Hadn't been to Annapolis for a while and on recebnt visit when looking for a lunch spot, we skipped the crords in downtown Annapolis and went over the drawbridge to Eastport to the Boatyard. Perfect. Diverse crowd of Fishermen, boaters, toursists, Naval Academy Midshipmen with their families-- and great and friendly service, good food and reasonable prices for food and drink.

Way easier to park, and you can always go there and stroll back into town
