Ok, so I'm 34 years old and really didn't expect to have a GREAT time here in a place where little kids and human-size talking nice reign... but I did.
It wasn't the entertainment or the games. It wasn't the food, the cake, or the watered-down juice. It wasn't even the fact that my kids had the time if their lives for the3 hours we were there. What made my visit special was the service. It was the personal touch, that "I care about my job and our customer" mentally that every single Chuck e Cheese employee this night demonstrated that made my time here so memorable.
Specifically, Jillian was fantastic. She was the assigned hostess to our party. Due to religious religious reasons, we needed a few accommodations related to the "birthday" party (i.e. we didn't want to have the b-day theme). Jillian made sure everything was to our liking, and never made it seem like we were troubling her.
She was kind, courteous, prompt and professional throughout the afternoon, and made it her personal business to ensure we and our kids were having a great time.
In business, one of the biggest cliche statememts is that "people - not the product - make the difference." Jillian proved to me that this is much more than some corporate statement or creed of customer service.
The next time we plan a party for our kids, Chuck E Cheese's will be our top venue of choice.
