“Great place for a weekend in Annapolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

Went to Inn at Horn Point for a weekend with my fiance and parents this past weekend and have only good things to report - the location is fantastic (one block from the water, a couple blocks from great seafood, and you in at the sailing docks in 10-15 minutes), the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are super friendly without being overbearing. Also, the breakfast is hard to beat - thanks Cory for all the hospitality!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Horn Point while taking a weekend sailing class. Cory was welcoming and had great tips of places for dinner and drinks. The inn was very comfortable, the room very clean, the bed comfy, and the food delicious. We have already recommended the Inn to friends and would absolutely stay again. When we booked I was wondering if the location would be too far from "downtown" Annapolis, but it was a short, pleasant walk into the city center, and the retreat away from the crowd was great.

Room Tip: We stayed in Sequoia. It was spacious, very comfortable, had the charm of antiques and the old claw...

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay. We read every single response and make changes in our delivery of service and maintenance of the property accordingly. Like you and your wife, many guests come to the wonderful sailing schools in the area, several of which are within walking distance.

And thank you for telling other potential guests about our convenient location, a quiet, out of the way neighborhood that is close to everything you want to see and do in Annapolis.

This was the third visit to the Inn at Horn Point for me and my husband and we simply love it. We find the B&B to be charming and cozy. Cory has always been extremely hospitable, friendly, and professional. The breakfasts are delicious and the close proximity to Annapolis and its sights is convenient. We will definitely return to the Inn at Horn Point and heartily recommend it to all.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay. Repeat guests are the backbone of a hospitality business. If we are able to couple that with word-of-mouth referrals, we're on our way to much, much success. We will see you again soon.

My significant other and I just returned from a week in and around the Chesapeake Bay, staying at several lovely B&B's. The Inn at Horn Point was by far our favorite place. We loved the location slightly away from the center of Annapolis and enjoyed the short walk or water taxi ride to the city center. Cory was beyond gracious, accommodating our post-midnight check-in and serving up a wonderful breakfast every morning, along with suggestions for things to see and do. We enjoyed our 2nd cup of morning coffee sitting on the porch reading the paper and watching the neighborhood pass by. There is a lovely little park nearby, several terrific restaurants and countless beautiful boats to oogle!

The Inn is beautifully restored and our bedroom was nicely decorated and very comfortable. I'd recommend the Inn for it's charm, location and delightful host. We were sad to leave and will absolutely visit again.

Wow!! An innkeeper could ask for nothing better than to be favorably compared to other B&B experiences. You are one of the reasons that we find this business so rewarding. Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay. We want nothing more than to provide a comfortable atmosphere that is free from every day distractions....and do it in an unobtrusive way that still leaves you feeling that you've missed anything. All the best.

I was very displeased with my stay at the Inn at Horn Point and would not recommend this place to anyone. I had high hopes for this B&B after looking at their website which made the place seem very charming and quaint, but was very disappointed when arriving. The website shows pictures with all of the rooms and then listed on the side it states "Guest Room Amenities." Under this it has a list of features that sound very appealing, such as private balcony, claw foot tub, and a gas fire place. Don't be fooled though, because this isn't the case. Our room was extremely small with none of those amenities. It only consisted of a bed (hard as rock), small desk, and very small TV. The bathroom was awful. It was the smallest bathroom I have ever been in. It was honestly hard to maneuver in there and if you aren't at least 6 foot tall good luck using the sink since it isn't at normal level. I'm 5'4 and I had to stand on my tippie toes to wash my face and hands. Not to mention they don't have vents in the bathroom so getting ready in the morning was very difficult since the bathroom was steamed up for about an hour after showering. The website states 5 luxurious rooms, but in my opinion that is most definitely false advertising! Speaking of false advertising, if you think the rates on the website are what you are going to pay, think again. Those are not this years rates, so expect to pay at least 20 dollars more per night. But hey its only June so I guess they haven't had enough time this year to update the 2012 rates, maybe they'll wait till December to do that. Also, when you call to book there is NO mention about the charge for using a credit card, but if you were planning on that they will charge you a 4.5-5 percent fee for doing so.

Also, don't plan on showing up early, because they will "presume" you want to check in early and you will automatically be charged a $75 fee for being early. I wouldn't worry about being there exactly at your check in time either because we had to wait around forever till the inn keeper let us in.

So unless you have very low expectations and want to blow at least 200 dollars/night I would HIGHLY recommend staying somewhere else.

A difficult situation for any service person. I checked these guests in myself. Stayed one night, skipped breakfast and never said a thing about any discomfort. If there really were problems, I didn't find out until their review. Forgive me, I can't do anything about it AFTER the fact.

WE can't wait to plan our next getaway at the Inn at Horn Point. The accomodations were clean, tidy and well maintained. The location of the Inn is accessible to restaurants and a block away is a small beach area where we enjoyed watching Labs and Retrievers retrieve balls for an hour.
Cory and his daughter Jocelyn were more than hospitable during breakfast, I commented to my husband that Jocelyn had impeccable manners and was a delight. The patio was the way to go for a relaxing start to a Sunday morning.
We look forward to coming back to the Inn - our expectations were met and more than exceeded. We will surely return to the Inn - what a treat!

When we first opened the INN eleven years ago, we took a moment to treat ourselves to dinner out. And as we left the INN, we noticed a couple sitting on the front porch (just as you described). Carol and I felt a moment of shear happiness, realizing that, together, we had created the atmosphere and the setting for that couple to relax and simply enjoy some time together. It really was a terrific payback for all that we gladly put in to it.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your stay. How wonderful that we exceeded your expectations. We can only strive to bring this sense to every guest.

And a comfortable room, welcoming hosts, lovely porch, close to downtown and a few blocks away so that it quiet and close to the water. Corey sent us recommendations for day trips ahead of time and was able to accomodate our late arrival. Positively recommend this B&B!

We appreciate that you mentioned your dietary restrictions ahead of your visit; so that we could provide the appropriate comfort food that you required. We can adjust menus for all types of dietary needs; and although some day we may miss the chance, there has not been a requirement that we could not handle (lactose free, vegan, vegetarian, kosher, salt-free........)
