“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Latin American chef from another Annapolis restaurant. He said that Sin Fronteras has the best prepared Latin food. He was right. We have dined there several times and continue to go back. The first thing we noticed during our first visit was how friendly the restaurant is. We were welcomed at the door by the owner, Walter, who has a knack for making everyone feel welcome and at home. The second thing we noticed was how fresh the food is. The guacamole comes from fresh avocados and is made on site. Same for the tacos, and unlike most other establishments, the nachos are homemade with all natural ingredients. And the main courses are also fantastic. We continue to dine at Sin Fronteras because it is friendly and the food is great.

“Sorry, Annapolis, but this isn't necessarily the best Mexican...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

Had seen the reviews, and had passed by this place multiple times, so my son and I decided to try Sin Fronteras for a change. The owner of the establishment greeted us warmly and our server was terrific! The menu has a variety of not only Mexican but other Latin American cuisine; it has more of a Caribbean take vs the Sonoran Mexican that I am used to. The Torta Mexicana was good, although I expected a chicken breast on this sandwich as opposed to the shredded chicken. My son had the fish tacos--I have yet to get a good Baja style fish taco since I have been back on the East Coast! They were small, and he finished not only the two tacos but half of my sandwich too! The Margarita and Mojito were just a bit too sweet--squeezing some lime into the margi helped cut the sweetness, but I had to send the mojito back to have some soda water added. But they were good otherwise! We finished off with sharing a flan, which was an average, not out of the ordinary flan. I will probably go back again, but want to try some of the other dishes.
The place was pretty busy, not overcrowded. The decor is not fancy, kind of typical for a strip mall kind of place, but the deck is a nice addition.

“Great "Friendly" Service and Food - usually hard to find in Annapolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

From the time we entered the restaurant until we departed we felt welcomed. Adonis provided some of the best service we have had in Annapolis after living here for 8 1/2 years. The Pisco Sour was perfect as was the large Guacamole...delicious. The Honduran Baleadas with Chorizo was excellent with the Chili con Queso dip. Save room for the Banana Sin Fronteras for dessert. First time eating here and it will not be the last.

“Our first visit, but not the last!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

My husband loves Mexican cuisine! We decided on this place because of the great reviews. I believe they steered us in the right direction. We made reservations for the two of us for deck seating, but we didn't need them. I don't know how this place isn't more crowded! We ordered margaritas and the queso appetizer. Outstanding! For our meal we had chicken barbacoa and the balleadas. There was almost too much food. Our waiter seemed new, but did a good job taking care of is. Te owner, Walter, came to visit our table and make us feel welcomed. The heat outside was not unbearable. The drinks helped! We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time because we will definitely be returning!

“Great welcome and great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

We were greeted with a warm welcome and a handshake by the owner. He explained about the regions that the food comes from and a little about how everything is prepared on site. We had a great meal and the best thing was that he sent us over some calamari straight from the grill with a little chilli and garlic and it was absolutely excellent.
This isn't on the menu but it should be as it really showcased the freshness of the ingredients and that the chef can cook. Our entree were excellent too.

So great beer, some excellent cocktais, great food and really efficient and friendly service. We will be back and we will tell our friends to go too.
They have just built a new decking area in the front....don't let the location fool you this is a great dining experience for a very very reasonable price!
