“View of Bay Bridge is so worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

I actually first spotted it from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.. Didn't actually expect a beach in this area.. SO planned a visit very soon... Coming from western Maryland shore (eg. DC area), you don't have to pay the toll on the bridge, coz its the last exit before hitting it.. so be careful not to miss the exit or you will be on your way to the eastern shores of Maryland- which is very pretty as well.
The beach hand nice sand.. the view of the bridge from the water was great... Since this is a not an ocean beach- the water was pretty calm for an easy swim..
The bayside offered boating/fishing opportunities.. I was pleasantly surprised by this state park.. A great family day trip from DC area.
State of Maryland residents get a discount on the entry fee.

“Good State Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2014

This state park offers something for everyone; boating, fishing, beaches, water sports . . . and all on the Bay. It has great views and relatively easy to get to if there's no traffic to the Bay Bridge. Park can get extremely crowded and there's a minimal entry fee. Park is very clean and safe.

“One of Marylands finest Parks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

Plenty of activities to include picnicking on beachfront, grassy areas or even shaded wooded areas by the water. Swimmimg sunbathing, and surf fising. I personally kayak fish. Easy to put the kayak in and out from their boat ramps. They also have small boat/kayak rentals. Such an awesome day trip if you especially if you don't want to trek to the MD, DE beaches. Only recommendation is to check entrance fees online. I'm pretty sure they vary from type of vehicle to a persons age, military discount ect...
Also check to see if they are having any their really cool events. Some might be inviting and others might inhibit your plans.

“Dirty”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

I do not suggest visiting this beach, it's filthy unless your going to the seafood fest. (which is great), the beach and water is filthy which is sad because are taxes pay for it.
