“FABULOUS find in Annapolis!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

My sister and I were looking for a one night get-away (she lives abroad so we rarely have time together) and she found Chez Amis. The owner, Elly, could not have been more hospitable. The room was stunning, the downstairs lovely, and the breakfast one of the best we've had at a B&B. The place was arranged very well with tea, lemonade and cookies available throughout the day. They also have a nice assortment of games, DVDs, and brochures on what to do in the area. We were in Annapolis to celebrate our joint birthdays and upon learning this Elly put a cupcake with candles in our room. It was just the perfect touch and made for a truly memorable experience. I will definitely be returning to Chez Amis the next time we're in Annapolis!

Stayed for one Sunday night and it was friendly and comfortable. Great directions and restaurant recommendation. All that you could ask for in a B and B in Annapolis. Very nice breakfast nook, plenty of space to spread out with the New York Times which was on the coffee table in the morning.

Room Tip: We stayed in the law library and it was very comfortable and there is no pool but I could not remove...

My wife and I stayed here for two nights this July. It's within a short walk to everything in historic Annapolis. We stayed in the Treaty of Paris room on the first floor. Really big room. Like others said, the shower is a little small but good for a short getaway. The multiple course breakfast each morning was delicious and the cookies in the afternoon were really good too. We would definitely try to stay here again next time we're in town.

My wife and I came here as a weekend getaway for my wife's birthday. We had had a super busy couple weeks leading up to it and this was the perfect relaxing weekend getaway. Elly and Joe were awesome hosts, helped us figure out where to go around town (since we hadn't had time to do proper research beforehand) and their recommendations were great. Great home made breakfasts too! Hope to come back.

First, Chez Amis is perfectly located for exploring historic Annapolis. We were able to let ourselves in early so we could get settled and park before our lunch reservation. The State House Room was beautiful, comfortable, and cool (it was pushing 100 during our stay). I should mention that the shower would be a tight squeeze for a heavier visitor. The innkeepers were very sensitive to our needs even going as far to shim a construction plate in the street so it would not rattle due to cars passing during the night. The breakfast was magnifique! We have stayed at many B&B's over the years; Elly and Joe have raised the bar on hospitality!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend after attending a concert in DC. It was an absolutely perfect weekend. The inn is tastefully decorated, and still manages to be very welcoming and comfortable. The rooms are lovely. The inn in centrally located in Annapolis and an easy walk to all the sites. Elly and Joe are fantastic inn keepers: super friendly, warm and knowledgable about the area. Breakfast was delicious and well planned. Elly leaves water, iced tea and cookies out all day for guests. There is also a coffee and tea station where you can help yourself. There is a comfortable living room where Elly provides reading material (books and current newspapers). We ended up hanging there for most of our first day after a late night out and really felt at home. We are not usually people who write reviews but Chez Amis really deserves it! We would highly recommend this inn to anyone looking for a relaxing and romantic stay in Annapolis.

Stayed at Chez Amis this past Saturday night. It is an absolutely lovely small B and B in the historic district. Elly and Joe were wonderful hosts--we arrived a bit early and they were extremely accommodating. The atmosphere of Chez Amis is so comfortable. Our room, The State House Room, was lovely. It was a nice size and so beautifully decorated. The common area had everything you could ever ask for in a B and B. Breakfast on Sunday was delicious.
During our stay Elly was so helpful with suggestions as to things to do and where to eat. Will we return? Absolutely. Our short stay was a wonderful experience.
