“Needed a getaway from life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

This was our second trip here in less than two months, the first time to visit family in the area. This time was to get away from too much medical stuff going on. this visit was much better the the first, staff was friendlier (though we did avoid the nasty ones from last time). The beds in our room were more comfortable, not too stiff. The tub did have mildew around the edge so we did not take showers. The pool was way too cold and the wobbly handle made it unsafe to get in. We did use the hot tub the first night and it was very relaxing. The only major issue was the wedding party guests who came stumbling out from the reception, completely drunk, and they were laughing at me for wearing a halloween costume. The guests should be contained within the party area or outside. The wedding guests had also taken up all the parking spaces that are closer to the front for room guests. The overall parking area is a disaster with a gate that is demolished right now.

The front desk staff was nice, but I still and always agree that if I do not have a credit card at check in there should be no problem. I always prepay the reservation, and I offered to put down cash for incidentals. I worked for Disney World Resorts for over 7 years, and know that almost all systems can block out room charging priviledges. But that is a professional perspective.

Personally however, I can't wait to come back very soon. I was just diagnosed with terminal cancer with limited time left, so I just want to get back again before I no longer can. Thank all of your staff for making this stay excellent, and hope we can make the next and maybe last on really special. Thanks!

PS..Inhouse soa services would be a great addition to your roster

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have less train noise, I think

Very basic hotel. Furnishings tired and staff lack-luster, but about what we expected. The whole place could have been cleaner and more up-to-date. Staff could have been more engaged. (Everyone working there just kind of looked oppressed.) Bed quilt was grimy and stained.

Ours was a quick trip - just overnight - so we didn't find it much of a problem. Not a bargain by any means. I am a Hilton Honors member so we had free wifi. But they really should just make it free for everyone.

Room Tip: If you are a Hilton Honors member, be sure to ask what perks you are entitled to. They will not tell...

This is a very nice facility, kept clean, except for the whirlpool, which was gritty. The garden could be more evident, especially since it is in a state where there are six month of winter. You could make it really very attractive with a few live plants. However the Staff are very professional and accommodating and that makes up for any other lacks. Thanks for your care dear people. Danuta H.

stayed for 2 nights and the housekeepers were great but manager was very rude. Stayed on the third floor and could hear her yelling at the staff down the hallway at the top of her lungs. room were very outdated and room was overpriced. Upon checkout couldnt make it past the supply carts in the hallway. Never again!

Room Tip: dont stay here!

i'm a road warrior, living in Hotels across the country.
Room= average nothing spectacular
Amenitys = unknown did not use pool or fitness room. Bus. office is very typical of Hilton brands really nice and usable. Never issues with printers or computers.
Perks for HHonors= free breakfast but i had to ask. Nothing more
Price was 200 per night pretty pricey for the area and what the hotel offers.
parking is kinda a hassle esp. at the late hours i work. I hate looking for parking. Not sure what was going on in this area that would make this hotel parking lot full unless there's no other hotels whatsoever. Place was close to job site for me.
easy to find, not far from I95 located on a pretty nice river
Staff were great, friendly accommodating. They didn't offer much information unless i asked but they weren't rude either. I get tired of hearing the spiel but for occasional guests it's pretty important. Certainly not worth 200 per night.. i really expected more esp. being a premium member.

Room Tip: I had rm 222. nothing special about it

We stayed here one night in October. Had a AAA rate which brought a riverwatch view room under 100. Very nice room, and extremely friendly and hellpful staff, particularly the manager, Meghan who went out of her way to be helpful, and was great fun to talk to. It was the last night of the ALCS, and she is a huge Red Sox fan. Located in walking distance of several restaurants, so very convenient. Falls were very nice to look at, and not particularly noisy even though we were facing them directly. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for the Dempsey Challenge the past two years and it was great as usual. The hotel staff is very friendly and the hotel is always very clean and inviting. They are very tollerant of the bikes and the comings and goings of the even every year.
