This has got to be one of the most mind boggling experiences I've ever encountered. They have regulations which state one "must" put down a deposit. I've stayed in 100's of hotels and but his one is the only to require a deposit. It's simply a gimmick to extract more $$$ from each person who walks through the door. Section 8's are there, mexicans who are rather boisterous and loud, the price used to be $169/week yet now $209 and Alexandria, Louisiana is only a small town of about 50K. Jacksonville, Fl on the beach ValuePlace charges the same amount and I'd think justly so due to the tourist attraction. Kansas City, MO Value Place only charges $189/week. Kansas City is 10times the size of Alexandria. Value Place Alexandria, La. charges if they come into your room to close the window should you leave it open. If the door is left open, WITH THE RESIDENT BEING IN THE ROOM, a fee is charged for 2nd warning to close it.
Due to lack of funds I've stayed @ the place several times. The place is not clean and unsanitary. They have inspections all the time. Is this a prison or an Army Barracks? It's insane the way people are treated.
Built with cheap materials to maximize the payoff to the investors who could give a flip less about anything but sucking as much money out of each prospective guest.
I fully intend to process claims with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the State of Louisiana, the City of Alexandria, the Value Place owners, most likely foreigners who're here to suck the "american pie" yet never served a day in the US Military to defend this country.
If it sounds as if I'm quite angry............best believe I am. Never again will I stay at the place.
