Dim Sum - if you are not familiar with dim sum, this is what the Chinese eat for breakfast with tea.
This restaurant is usually very busy & a person usually must wait in line to enter the Golden Unicorn for Dim Sum treats.
However, this is another long holiday week end here in Panama. Check this out - during November of each year Panama celebrates its independence from Spain (even though at this time Panama was a part of Colombia) and also Panama celebrates its independence from Colombia. Actually the legal holidays this year were Thursday November 3, Friday November 4, Thursday November 10 & Monday November 28. That's right the country of Panama closes down for four legal holidays to celebrate its independence and many Panamanians therefore take extended holidays to visit the interior.
Because many Panamanians are now away from the city, yesterday we did not have to wait in line to enter the Golden Unicorn.
Within seconds of our being seated at our table a server appeared with a cart of dim sum treats. And the servers with rolling carts just kept coming and coming. Most dim sum treats come with four (4) pieces which was great for us because my wife and I were dining with two of our friends.
When you are in Panama and want to try something a little bit different - visit the Golden Unicorn Restaurant in the Evergreen Building (it is bright green - can't miss it) right near the ATLAPA convention center.
