Staying here was a treat for us. We were 4 people sharing a room which made it a decent value. The hotel is beautiful. Great pools and grounds. Our room was very nice. The staff was only OK. The taxi's to town were very overpriced. You do need to check your bill when you get home. They overcharged us and we had to call to a have them fix it which was a hassle. It was pretty quiet and empty during Christmas time. It was relaxing for us..

Let me start by saying that I have stayed at $100 hotels that were similar to this resort. It's not quite as nice as let's say a hilton, but considering the price it's not worth it. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the staff is friendly enough and the food was tasty. But nothing is included in your $250 a night stay so just be warned, not internet, breakfast, complimentary water, nothing. The rooms are nice enough but nothing overly special.

There were loads of bugs everywhere inside and out and the problems that we did run into like, no a/c in our room, broken tv, dirty coffeemaker were meet with feigned indifference by the staff. We had to request that we get a room with a/c, or that the tv needs to be fixed or that we want a clean coffee maker. Considering this is a $250 a night hotel you expect the staff to want to deal with the problems that could arise during your stay. In summary, this is a decent place probably more in line with a hampton, quality inn, comfort inn, or a howard johnson but for $250 a night it's definitely not worth it.

I I stayed with my wife for two nights to attend a convention. The hotel is located outside Panama City center and depending on the traffic conditions, it may take you some time to get in and out of town. It is a resort hotel so it has nice pool, spa and garden. The beach is limited and the canal water is dark so you may well just enjoy the pools. The staff in general are attentive, however, there are misses and hits. We were given an upgrade to a suite, which was located on one end of the hotel on the ground floor. It was quite a walk to the lobby. The suite had a large living space and separate bedroom. The bathroom had a shower and a jaccuzzi tub but the shower was poorly lit and it took about 10 minutes for the hot water to flow. But the main problem is the noise. There is no sound proofing whatsoever. You can hear everyone on the outside from the entrance door to the terrace, which is adjacent to the garden and pool area. But the worst is the sound upstairs as there is no carpeting in the rooms. Unfortunately, there was a lady with high heels upstairs who kept moving chairs all night. We barely could sleep. Other than that, it is nice hotel.

Very well manicured grounds with lots of beautiful flowers. Lots of pools and chairs available. The rooms are nicely furnished, clean. Nothing over the top but what you would expect, great water pressure and air conditioning. The food is okay, nothing great but there was always something on the menu that satisfied. Service was hit or miss, some people were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to provide excellent service, while others didn't really seem to want to help or like they enjoyed their job very much. Overall, good value for the money and I would go back again or recommend to someone.
