“Bajareque Coffee House is a must in Casco Viejo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

If you are a coffee lover you must go and try the coffee here. The owner, Wilford Lamastus, not only grows his own beans, but he also dries them in a couple of different ways and then roasts his own beans. His coffee has been recognized in world competitions and rightly so. It was a perfect gift for friends who were hard to buy for. Even if it is hot you must try the coffee here.

“Great coffee!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Visited here every day of our stay in Casco. The coffee is really top notch, and there is a big selection of sweet and savory pastries. The owner is very welcoming and enthusiastic. He will talk your ear off, especially if you get a cup of the Geisha, the very coveted coffee bean that goes for $10 a mug! Mostly we stuck to the iced coffee, which was a refreshing godsend at any time of the day.

“a coffee fiend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

As most of my friends would attest good coffee is close to my heart-and this one hit the spot as did the Limon pie-i bought the honey roasted beans as well (I travel with my own grinder now, thanks to Daniel Salter-Coffee Guy in Woolloowin, Brisbane Australia)

“Great Coffee Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Great coffee and terrific bakery items as well. While this coffee shop is well known we happened to stumble on it simply walking around in the morning. The cafe americano is excellent and while is was morning we could not resist and had a flan for breakfast. After all it was vacation. We went back our second morning as well. While visiting you may run into an older Panamanian gentleman by the name of Conrad who gives casual walking tours. Conrad speaks English and is very entertaining. I guess you never know who you may run into in a coffee shop.

“Amazing local coffee shop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

This coffee shop is located in the Casco Viejo neighborhood of Panama City and was one of our favorite discoveries during our trip to Panama. A welcoming place where you can try coffee that is very hard to find anywhere else. Here you can get a cup of freshly brewed Geisha coffee which is a varietal that is grown in the Boquete region of Panama. The owner is very friendly and gave us a quick tour of where they grind the beans and explained to us where the beans come from (his family's farm that they have owned for hundreds of years). The place is clean and nice and offers wifi to customers.
