Cafe Chic is a great asset to the diversity of restaurants Panama already has to offer. Its 'European chic' is unrivaled.

The atmosphere is cozy and classy. The finish of the interior and quality of the materials used is way above Panamanian standards.

The menu might be limited, but this is not uncommon in European restaurants. The quality, freshness and eye for detail are superb. The service is very friendly and professional.

You can tell the owner takes a big pride in making this restaurant among the best Panama has to offer. He is always there, being a perfect host to his guests, coaches his staff to become the best they can be and is always looking for innovative ways to improve his service to the customers. The valet parking Cafe Chic is offering is a perfect example.

Cafe Chic is highly recommended and I hope it will help to raise the standard of quality and customer service in Panama.

Here I finally found a cosy dining room and a nice intimate terrace where graceful yet uncomplicate service by most friendly young ladies is completed by every a quality ingredient freshly prepared.

The limited menu card offers exactly what is written ( the preparations as we know them from the famous classic cooks) and allows for the kitchen to have food stock quickly rotating. During my repeated visits I tried already most of the plates and the lamb chops from Down-Under, perfectly broiled to your liking, the rich Ratatouille and tasteful puree of potatoes on the side or the 'Pate de Campagne' housemade as a starter are not to be missed. It was nice to learn lately that a menu has been created with bites and little hunger-killers.

If you use to be pampered by the great houses of genuine gastromy in the Low Countries of Western Europe, it will be hard to find a second place in Panama equalling Cafe Chic.

Wow! Just a few days in Panama and then such an extraordinary dinner at the Cafe Chic! I know Mr. Roeland Biever from his restaurant Tiffany´s in Rio de Janeiro, some time back and where I also had a great dinner. His establishments are always inspiring with good service and great food. If you like dessert I can recomend the Crème Bruleé! Hope to see you soon in Miami Mr.Biever!

Been there 3 times in the past 3 months. First and second time were fantastic: excellent food, very good service (which is uncommon in Panama) and wonderful atmosphere. It has a minimalistic but classy decor, with Jazz and Blues musicians posters on the walls. Jazz and Blues at a low volume is always playing.
Menu is rather limited, but the choices are varied.
1st time (September 2012) we were 2; we had the lamb chops and the mushroom and sausage risotto. Both excellent; as well as the drinks. The 2nd time (October 2012) we were 4, and it was very good as well; we had the salmon, pork chops and oriental seafood pasta (which wasn't as good as the rest). Both times we ordered the ratatouille as a side dish, an it is - without a doubt - the best I ever had. Highly recommended.
Prices are a little steep, but the quality of the food, drinks and service made it worth.
The third time (November 2012) was awfully disappointing: food took about an hour to arrive (without and explanation or apology), and the same dishes we ordered before weren't as tasty (except for the ratatouille, which is still the best); we even had to send back the lamb chops, as they were going bad. Same goes for the drinks.
Being a french restaurant, I was surprised creme brulee wasn't on the menu; so I suggested it to who I think was the owner. The 2nd time we went there, I reminded him again. Both times he said he was going to tell the chef, so they could include it. The 3rd time, it still wasn't available; so it's pretty clear to say that they don't care about the customers' opinion.
It has very limited parking, but they offer valet service.
