“Overall good for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Nothing bad to say about it , breakfast was great ! All time armed security guard at front door , have a farmacy right in front , mc donals like a short block away very close to walk to , bus stop like 2 blocks away , pretty close to the bahia like 3 blocks away , front desk people always smiley , i stayed for 3 nights and it was pretty standard for the price . 60 a night with breakfast for sigle bed

Room Tip: The single room bed its pretty small might consider asking for a queen if traveling with your couple

Stayed there 3/4-7. Hotel is in an area where many buildings are being renovated or knocked down. Traffic is accentuated by the Panamanian's need to use their car horn on a continuous basis making silence an "unheard phenomenon". Stayed on the 4th floor where furniture was spotted down various hallways. "Tarifas" were notated as $60/night. Someone needs to tell Orbitz! Light and A/C was regulated by your card key. When you left the room, lights and A/C were turned off. When you returned, the room was an oven. The bathroom was a nightmare. All shower fixtures in the shower area were inoperative. Additional fixtures were located behind the toilet along with a hose. You had to regulate the water from outside the shower and use the hose to wash. The toilet tank cover had to be lifted numerous times to allow for the water to fill. There were two redeeming factors to this hotel. Senorita Ada is a charm at the check-in desk, although she had to referee the RUDE Spanish-speaking personnel. There is a complimentary breakfast served which is basically a buffet. Choices are significant. Food is palatable. If you wish to dine off-site, your choices are slim: McDonalds and Balboa Boulevard restaurant are in short walking distance.. Overview: The rooms are severely over-priced. The hallway is in need of Fabreze.

We stayed there just for one night and it was definitely too expensive. Some rooms do not have windows so you feel imprisoned. No hair dryer.
The breakfast is very poor and tasteless. The good thing is the location. It is within walking distance to old town.

If you want to be awake all night this is the place to be. Not because there is a party all night or because it is surrounded by places to go during the night hours, it is because of the traffic and the necessity of every Panamanian driving by the hotel to sound the horn of their car. If you want to hear a biiipppp, waaaaaaahhhhh at 2:00am, 3:00am or even 4:00am this is your place.

We recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel. This was after leaving a much more dreadful hotel, the Hotel Latino (don't even think about it). We found it to be above average for cleanliness by Central American standards. It also had a fresh bedspread which is rare in most hotels in this category. The rooms were being remodeled and were very doable. The hallways are in dire need of refreshing. We used the rooftop pool and found it clean and inviting. I thought the breakfast was very average but had enough fruit to offset what I did not like. The 24 hour on site restaurant was fine. We did walk the neighborhood more than once and felt safe. There is a huge supermarket 4-5 blocks away. Enough towels if you ask.

Room Tip: I felt the upgrade to a mini-suite would not be worth the money just to get a small table and refrid...

We found it on the internet. It's in a tough neighborhood, nothing to walk around in. The staff is sullen and not at all helpful. Our room had a narrow window above eyelevel and the bellboy never showed us how to work the air conditioner. Wifi was only on the ground floor.

The breakfast is OK. There are easily available taxis. Overall it was adequate but we found better closer to the center of town, lower price, cleaner, less sullen staff.

nothing very bad to say about the place, nor anything very good. it was okay for the price. only complaint about the room was that the windows wouldn't secure very well at all. the staff didn't consider that a problem because we were on a street and on the second floor, but we didn't feel good about that anyway, to the point where we blocked the doors so that anyone entering in the night would have made a lot of noise and awakened us. the high point: breakfast. good selection, good quality, all you can eat, and fresh!
