“Awesome sunset views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2013

We drove here as the sun was setting and I was able to take gorgeous pictures! Then the causeway has lots of bars, restaurants and great view of the city skyline. Best to visit at nightfall and mostly for grownups to gather have a couple of drinks and yummy food.

“Great walk, wonderful view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

Nice place to walk along the water. Many places to eat and coming soon the Biodiversity museum. I would highly recommend taking this walk at night and seeing the Panama City lights.

“Great dinner spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

If you travel to panama, plan to be here for at least a dinner if not for an entire evening. The islands have plenty of restaurants with awesome views.
Getting taxis out of this place at night may be difficult though. Many drivers will wait for you if you pay a little extra ($5).

“Nice place to spot sloths”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

We just took a quick drive on the causeway to check out the 3 islands. We were lucky enough to see a sloth on the second island. There is some high class duty free shopping on the last island if you like to do that.

“A bit overrated and touristy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

I was here 10 years ago when I was in college and had fond memories of it, but going back there I was pretty disappointed. First of all, taxis gauge you to get out there and then you have to pay a premium to get back since there aren't many out there. The restaurants we saw seemed to be either touristy or tacky, or both. Some duty free shopping out there as well, but nothing you can't get in the airport or at the border. To be fair, it does offer some fantastic views of the city so for that reason alone it is worth it if you have never been, I simply would not rate it as a "must see" in Panama City. It is a nice spot to go for a run/walk/bike ride during the day.
